Wonder how many more expectant fathers there are, with the mother to be based in NSW? Could be more players that miss 3 or 4 weeks ..... haha

Sean Keppie has left the bubble (back to Sydney) for birth of child and probably won't be available again until the last round of the season.

I would love to pull the trigger on SJ to Ponga but Pappy is my boy and has proved he how big he can go consistently. Thing putting me off is Ponga's highest score without a try this year is 41. He had a few big games last year without scoring and the run home for the Knights is pretty impressive. I feel waiting one more week and they both could be around 600K.
Just not sure if I should pull the trigger to Ponga this week or wait until next week and weigh up Ponga v Pappy.
I'm still hoping to make Operation: Maybe Bring Back Cleary work so I'll be waiting until next week when they both drop a lot of cash. Another week should give a better idea of who I want in my team more too.

If I as a pro league player I would plan my sexual output so any pregnancy due date would be in the off season because I'd tell my partner there's no way I'm missing any league game.

So far have gone SJ to Ponga, leaves 626K... As long as Hynes doesn't drop 150K I can go Hynes to Cleary next week.toast wrote:

Gives me this team as a final team

Lolo Haas AFB(if fit)
Fifita CHN
Moses Cleary
Bird Crichton/Burton

If I go Johnson to Blore this week I can go Fogarty or Hynes to Cleary with 1k or 46k remaining

Top 10 trade ins this week include all 5 guys who scored 100.
I'd expect Rapana is unlikely to repeat as he nearly doubled his previous season high in tbs. Hasn't had 10+ tbs since round 12 2017. Hasn't had 15+ tbs since round 6 2017. He just isn't the same player anymore
Haas, DCE, Cook, Fifita we all knew were capable of going 100+ since they have been doing it for years. Personally I'd be chasing another top level keeper and hoping they also hit the ceiling score, rather than trade in someone who probably won't do the same again this year.
Crichton, Grant(if he ever returns), Munster, Papy, Ponga would be at the top of my shopping list
Unfortunately I went one week early with Crichton as my captain pick......banner for sure this week when I move it back to the sfe option
Also looking at a sneaky Hynes to Munster swap when the time comes

Blore seems to like an injury though.

Pretty sure JFH is gone for the same reason.

I can’t understand how people are hanging on Cleary’s return. He’s not likely to play next week, and even if he does come back after that you’ll need to give him a couple of weeks to see how he goes (no way plays 80 mins for a while) then he’ll get rested in round 25. Surely DCE or Hughes or AD, or just about anyone outscores him by a mile!

Blore looks like a great downgrade. He really only needs to get through the next couple of weeks to justify the trade. Good draw and position should be safe. Really depends on trade numbers and what you do with the dollars saved.wolfking wrote:Blore seems to like an injury though.

100% agree, this is actually why I sold Cleary in the first place - I guessed that DCE would score more total points than him in the timeframe, and I think that will hold.
I'm holding my last 2 trades in the bank so I can get Cleary in if I want (already got DCE, buying AD for Hynes this week as well), but I'm not necessarily set on it (I'll probably have to use the trades on injuries

I'm totally split in just getting DCE this week and be done or facilitate 2 trades to get Cleary next week.
Why do you think he won't play 80 minutes though?

Why would he not play 80?

Saints and Tigers? My point is he still won’t outscore those other players. At least he’ll be a lot cheaper next year if he plays a couple of sub 80 minute games. What’s a forum bet?my tv broke wrote:Forum bet that Cleary posts 2 or more banners before end of season ?

With everyone paying attention to Hughes/DCE/Cleary, I like this as a POD play. Top 5k ownership 0.36%. Not sure if I could pull the trigger myself though.

Cleary is averaging more than 20 points a game more than the next best player.
Factor in captaincy points, and if he returns anywhere close to how he's played most of the season, and he is essential.
if Cleary plays 4+ games over the rest of the year, I'm confident you won't be able to win the comp without him
