I think unlikely he would've sought a release if that was the case.

Put it this way, he's unlikely to asking for a release from his current club to be paid less elsewhere even if it is a 2+ year contract.
Knights are spending some cash to get him. They are not going to sit him in reserve grade all year.

Gavet had a great year for us last year and I'm glad he had a few clubs chasing him. Expect he'll go well at the Knights.

Happy with the Hunt signing. He's a good player. Would be fairly cheap winger or centre. Much prefer him over a washed up Jennings.

Knights have a lot of depth this year, especially if they get Klemmer and Segeyaro. Semi finals bound surely and premiers of ISP cup
