Yeah, don't get me wrong, it's not Mbye's fault that the club paid overs and signed him to a crazy contract.

It's the whole, yeah I feel just so bad that you've massively over paid me for 3 years, but I'm still going to make sure you overpay me one more year.

Honestly, I just think he should take the money and say the nice things about what the clubs building, just leave it at that...

Going well thanks legend! Working hard on it. Ran 5k and squatted decent weight again on the weekend just gone which felt nice to be back doing something normal. Weird to think I have 9 months left to go haha

For $400k what would you rather do?

Pay Moses Mbye to play for someone else
Pay Connor Watson to play for, with money left over.

But that is one reason why clubs like the Tigers can't get out of the shithouse. There is a 0% chance of someone like Connor Watson ever accepting a $300k deal to play for us
Our only options are to pay massive overs for has-beens, or buy young guys and hope they turn out good. Guys like Laurie and Utoikamanu are looking like better options than Packer/Mbye

Definitely, it's ultimately a win for Mbye and for the club.
It beats the Packer scenario where you have to pay a guy $800k to play reserve grade as well as taking up one of your top 30 spots.

And yeah, you'd love to swap Mbye for Watson (even if it means you're ultimately paying $900k? for it next year).
Still, Watson would likely be a bench utility at the Tigers too... so why not go for the Roosters where you may have a chance of higher honours as well as finals...

If I do CHN to Curran. It gives me an 18th green dot with no obvious person to shift to the pine. If I don’t make the trade this week and Curran scores more than 35, I won’t be able to afford him next week.

CHN won’t be back, Curran will average 50ninimum for the rest of the year and has DPP. Does that help?

For what it’s worth, same trade as me for my final

Nice dilemma to have mate.. I like locking in Moses first. Walsh and Brailey with squishy opposition is hard to resist.

Pap first up tonight with Fog too. I think I like Moses, Pap, Walsh, Brailey as my 4, but with Fog in the loop for.. Walsh?

Today's only Wednesday, not Thursday. What a fkn roart.

As for the actual bench setup, too early for me.. Maybe the loop thread.

Tossing up similar thoughts on question 2.

With one trade left, it’s looking thin. I have good cover in terms of green dots, but a bench of rapana, Verrils, Burton, hynes. Red dots for this week are cheese, tolo, CHN, angus.

Angus is two weeks away, CHN is gone, cheese will be back next week surely and maybe tolo. So I have options going forward to cover injuries. So getting a better player now, at the expense of CHN or Angus is tempting.

In your case, I’d probably do it. Two reasons, he is the form scorer and can likely give you 3 lots of a score that you’re holding Angus to give you one. Second, you keep non touch with those that do have him. This all depends on how your coverage in other positions is. If it’s strong, lock it in. If it sucks, I’d be careful.

    My team is;

    Brailey
    Haas AFB Watson
    Blore Fifita
    DCE Cleary
    Bird Burton
    Manu Walsh Ted

    Hynes IPap Trindall Verrills

    Peach Lolo Angus Laurie

Don't really need to trade I think but Doueihi for Angus is very tempting. Can possibly get Paps for Laurie next week though.

    Any news on Lolo's chances?

I remember when it first came out they said it wasn't actually that bad and he could play through the pain. Not sure it is really worth it? I guess you still want to play your million dollar man if he is fit enough though.

Tossing up between Blore, Yeo, Butcher, Fleger . Leaning towards Yeo, as he has had a rest. In the better squad, and has potentisl to outscore the others.

That wasn't a 'take that shit to the loop thread' btw Laughing My simple setup would be:

    Moses
    Pap
    Brailey
    Lodge

    Foggy
    Walsh

Or switch Walsh and Brailey if wanting to back Walsh.

Not sure if there's more complicated ones that you can get fancy with though.

Interesting captain decision this week I think, be the first time i shift it off Tommy in a while. Not convinced he plays the whole game if he does suit up and hate captaining against my team in such an important game anyway. Flipping between Teddy and Isaiah at the moment. Also if I go with Papali'i it means I have no 2rf cover in case there is some last minute change, but I'm tempted all the same.

Didn’t take it that way at all mate. Yeah think I’ll leave it like that and see how it goes this week

Seems to be at fairly long odds to play I'd say.

TP said he trained yesterday, but it's all been non-contact.
Like you say, a pain management issue, but really only has two training sessions to show he's ready.

I think he's a fair chance for next week, but would be very surprised if he suits up this week.

Yep, just watched the video. TP says Hammer has been training well, will see specialist later in the week and looks positive and Lolo trained yesterday contact free and will train today and a decision will be made later in the week.

Luxury trades alert...use my last two on

CHN & Verrills out - Cook & Papy in

Leaves Angus as the only red dot and cover for every position

TBH it's probably a two week manoeuvre just to be safe

Similar dilemma to a few, is it worth using my final trade if I can field this 17?

    Watson
    Haas iPap AFB
    DiFi Lucy
    Cleary Schuster
    Burton Avo
    Teddy Ponga Walsh

    Murray Doueihi Verrills Lolo

    Schoupp Kobe Matterson McCullough

If I use the trade it's on Matto to Cook/Jackson/Grant/Curran.

Matto definitely gone, so may as well use it right?

CHN to Cook an easy one, but using your last trade on Verrills to Pap is ballsy. Wouldn't do it myself. Think you're right that doing it over 2 weeks is the play, just in case.
