Lam is #1 IMO
Him over Townsend was virtually consensus here and in hindsight there was no reason for it to be. And it cost about 20pts a week and 250k.

Why does A. Johnston need a rest he's already had heaps of rest when he was injured plus he's a winger lol they get plenty of rest in the games.

My biggest mistakes this year were all when I made decisions which no one else was really considering, which in hindsight was me just thinking I was smarter than I was. Some examples (not exhaustive unfortunately):
- Thinking Reimis Smith would be a gun - He was decent but far from Lomax levels.
- Picking up Macca thinking he'd score as well as he did last year, for a worse team.
- Starting with Brooks/Fogarty because they were the "key playmakers and kickers" despite both of them being pretty meh footballers.
- Sticking with Brailey way too long, because I thought he could bounce back despite showing no signs of doing so.
- Picking up mid-tier players who were "value" because I saw more in them that was there: Drinkwater, Koloamatangi (mid season), Curran (mid season), Tupouniua (to be honest with this one he would have been much better if the Roosters didn't have so many outside backs get injured - his defence/running the ball have dropped off a cliff)
- Jumping on literally every cow I could due to FOMO - I literally made it my goal this year to trade wisely and avoid FOMO but boy is it strong - lesson learned (more).
So keen for next year though - I may have been burned but it makes me want to put my hand back in the fire even more - for lack of a decent analogy.

Currently ranked 8564 which means I should manage a top 10k finish which was my goal at the start of the year. Just gotta hope my 14 green dots can get it done. Lets start with a big Roosters win for my lads + big scores for Verrills, Angus, Tups, and Teddy.
Should be a good game @Papadontbleach , @Archer and @GreenMachine - good luck to your lads, if stars align we might play again next week haha.

Honestly don’t think the first four are bad or you were alone on them. Mid tier trades and FOMO definitely tricky and I really struggled with that in my first serious season

Raiders to butcher it tonight.
Hope that helps you make a decision
It wouldn't surprise me at all tbh. This game is potentially just another chance for us Raiders fans to be disappointed this season.

Cheers mate, good luck too (less so with the game though, we need this more than you!) Hope it's a cracker with a few back for each of us.Snatchpato wrote:Currently ranked 8564 which means I should manage a top 10k finish which was my goal at the start of the year. I've been waiting all year for him to be rested. Dude's a fantasy terminator.

I've had Brailey all year and don't think that was a bad decision. He's got the second most points for a hooker (6 points behind Cook)

I don't like this. I found all the carnage this year made the season a lot more exciting and people will change their strategies next year to adjust if there is the same amount of trades.
Yeah I don't like more trades, keep the game difficult. I like the game how it is but I'd add one or two extra squad members if I was changing it, or if adding trades, one or two would do.

I know what I'd be doing if I was them.
To keep it as a challenge and differentiate the teams, just tighten the salary cap.
Hadn't considered that. Could be interesting. I still prefer the idea of deciding to trade or not vs which trade to make.
