I think Barry confirmed this on twitter. Randall to get first shot with Crossland to be on the bench, Mann to play lock

Only 68% of the top 100 players had him last year it seems. Unless I am interpreting the footystatistics site wrong

Was he as must-have as suggested?

At the end of the season maybe. I wasn't able/willing to get him back personally.

Yeah, that's definitely post-injury end of season. Think there was a point in the season where one team in the top thousand was Clearyless.

Looking at the stats Milch put up is pretty much a snapshot of my fantasy year. All the under priced players I've never heard of and wont consider, all the over priced players end up it my team at some point in the year. Good to know this year will be no different.

1 game for -1 point. Lets hope he can improve on that this year

Mark Kheirallah's only NRL appearance (Rd 17 2011)

Saw 36 run meters, 1 TB, 2 tackles, 3 errors and a penalty.

    0 points under 2021 scoring.
    -1 point under 2022 scoring.

Unfortunately I don't have missed tackles from 2011, but if he missed at least 1 tackle, then he would overtake Moala Graham-Taufa

Mulvy wrote:I haven't gone past hooker yet. Seems to me, you either take a punt on Grant (red dot loop for one week) or the safety of Cook, or hope for a cheapie, or combo.

Grant's suspension should gain him a certain level of PODishness. Tricky with BS9/13 also suspended, team lists mightn't help. Will play origin but was hampered with injury last year and has a career avg of 61.9 starting hooker whilst priced at 56.

Cook is priced at 61.6 and has last three years avg's of 59.4, 63.9 and 62.7 and plays 80 nearly all the time. Nerf's don't appear to have affected him too much. Priced appropriately and will play origin, but you could do worse to start with him as set and forget. New coach; plays him similarly? more running and kicking? or heaven forbid, bench hooker?

To consider starting with Cook you've gotta keep one eye on Havili's role I think, the phrasing when Souths signed him was praising his solid defence and hard ball running up the middle which indicates he'll play as a bench lock/prop to keep the defence tight when Murray is off the field (if that assumption is correct then Arrow should be playing edge as well if that's fantasy relevant to anybody)

I wouldn't be surprised if he nicks minutes off Cook at all but I doubt it would be anything substantial. Another thing to consider is that Mamouzelos is definitely NRL ready - I said last year to a mate that he wouldn't look out of place starting at half of the clubs in the NRL. Souths won't want to lose him (he's best mates with Taaffe and Ilias too) so he might get a bench spot at some point sooner rather than later.

Souths have had much better backup hookers than Siliva Havili who haven't stopped Cook from being an 80 minute hooker.

He'll cop a rest around origin, but otherwise he is as safe as any hooker in the comp for minutes.

^^ Agree re: Souths - Havili is not suddenly going to get decent minutes at hooker at Souths, having not done so at the Raiders or Dragons. He's been a middle-first for a long time now.

A gun hooker may not be necessary to start IMO.

Positionally they weren't as dominant under the faster 2021 rules. Depends what happens with Cotter, Starling, Knights, Titans and Bulldogs I guess, but if say 3/5 of those fall the right way I could easily forego Grant or Cook.

I think Ben Hunt is in the mix with Grant/Cook too, depending on his halves partner/kicking metres.

Hunt is HLF only this season.

Potentially I will start with Randall, Cheap Cook, maybe Cotter as my hooking stocks and no gun.

Last year everyone wanted a MID/EDG DPP gun to start the season. Mostly ACrichton or Tohu

I am thinking TPJ this year for similar reasons.

He is one of the better offloaders, which should more than compensate for lack of TBs. And his price is lowered a little due to some Panthers bench appearances.
Good scores for a discount on the other premium players.

Don’t think Hunt is as appealing as just a HLF

Was going off Milchys price change thread which has Hunt as DPP, haven’t actually registered for this season yet so my bad for not checking.

At this stage I won’t register until after TLT R1. The earlier tinkering doesn’t help me personally too much I think

Aitken is one edge, the other will be Katoa / BMM, assuming that Sironen plays middle.
