Hi guys, thought it was about time I popped in to catch up on all the info.

I’m definitely steering clear of Jurbo this year with the introduction of the 6 agains turning into penalties. He will be close to the most penalised player in the comp, if he wasn’t already on that list from last year.

You kinda have to start the season with a trash WFB or trash MID on your bench every year though right? Or sometimes both. I don’t think Coates is that good for fantasy, but got to make sacrifices somewhere. And if he does score the tries early you get a bit of cash gen.

The slightly cheaper POD alternative may be Dunster, playing on the wing in a very favourable Eels draw. But either Coates, Dunster or Suaalii - I agree, you need to save some money somewhere and WFB seems the obvious place when anybody can get lucky with some tries and post a gun score (those three all being in good teams helps). But with any of those picks you would be hoping for a very quick start and moving them on before the inevitable regression to the mean. Im sold on carrying one in WFB3, but I have yet to figure out which.

Sloan has been upgraded to a top 30 contract. Should be added to fantasy soon hopefully.

anyone else unable to go on the fantasy website this morning? it's coming up with a popup saying I need to register, but when I hit the register button it says that I've already registered, but there's no way to get to my team or anything

Either its a bug as they roll out the app and stuff for 2022 or fanhub is cutting my addiction off because I've spent too much time playing around with my watch list

Yeah I'm assuming he'll be 400-450k, which is just out of reach for me.

If he's 350-370k, everyone and their dog will bring him in.

Even if he is cheap. He is currently averaging 1.2 tries a game in first grade

Smacks a bit of Charlie Staines to me, not sure how sustainable those scores would be.

Just looked up Staines stats. First, I'm shocked he scored actually 14 tries last year. Would've guessed about 8. Fantasy average still only 23. With 14 tries in 21.

I remember a certain someone being very gung-ho on Staines this time last year.

Sloan at 450-500k is a pass so hard it ends up missing the winger and landing in Row 8.

Sloan managed an impressive 9 in 80 mins with a try & LB

Would only consider if they somehow drop him in close to base price

I think I had that trouble a week or so ago.  Hard refresh fixed it. (Control + refresh).

At this point in time, I'm not even considering a world where I don't start with Cleary.
I see the Panthers are at 1.55 to beat the Sea Eagles in round 1 - I imagine the odds of Cleary playing round 1 would also be about 1.55.

I didn't pick him up for the final rounds he played last year, but I was extremely impressed with how well he played for a guy with a bung shoulder that could blow at any time.
All things considered, he was in excellent physical and mental condition - which says to me the guy was very diligent in his rehab and obviously highly confident in all aspects of his game (even with an injury).

I'm expecting he lines up for round one - and will deal with the alternative at TLT when I'm dealing with all the other red cash-herrings

Yeah, I think you're bang on with that estimate. Probably $500k on the nose for mine.

2020 average of 39.8, loses about 2 points off that in adjusted stats (for rule changes), then players seem on average to priced about 2 points over their adjusted average (leaving us back where we started), * the cow MN = $496k
That's a Reuben Cotter type price or a AJ Brimson if you want to match roles... (and I won't be going near AJ either)

How about HTF for similar price point? 470k. His average of 37.9 included two injury games, removing those brings it to 41.1. His three games at Fullback averaged 50 and whilst that included 2 tries, with his speed he's likely to keep getting them. Under new scoring that would come down to about 46, but still good for someone priced at 37.7 and with his speed I would expect some ingoal escapes. His stint at FB in 2020 had some real stinkers but I think he has evolved massively since then and rather than being thrown into the position he'll have a full preseason there. Also useful dpp and plays first bye. I wonder if he's put any weight on that frame? Definitely on the short list for me.

Definitely one to look at but my concern is the Cowboys I predict to lose much more than they win so I think he will have some stinking scores in there as well.

Was a bench EDG last year (hence DPP), expected to be CTR

Gunned it in NSW cup with 10 tries in 9 games playing CTR

At around his price point you can get proven performers, some in better teams:
    CNK $437k
    Dylan Edwards $496k
Nofo $455k - very tempting without Doughboy hogging all the ball!!
