Hard running centre. Played very well in the lower grades and has big wraps on him.
Definitely worth a look if he gets that centre spot. Will make help To'o make those early set metres and will break a lot of tackles too.

At around his price point you can get proven performers, some in better teams:
    CNK $437k
    Dylan Edwards $496k
Nofo $455k - very tempting without Doughboy hogging all the ball!!

True, true. I haven't got that far yet! But since when do you go for pedigree over trying to pick the next break out star?? Very Happy

How about HTF for similar price point? 470k. His average of 37.9 included two injury games, removing those brings it to 41.1. His three games at Fullback averaged 50 and whilst that included 2 tries, with his speed he's likely to keep getting them. Under new scoring that would come down to about 46, but still good for someone priced at 37.7 and with his speed I would expect some ingoal escapes. His stint at FB in 2020 had some real stinkers but I think he has evolved massively since then and rather than being thrown into the position he'll have a full preseason there. Also useful dpp and plays first bye. I wonder if he's put any weight on that frame? Definitely on the short list for me.

HTF breaks the rule of outside backs from bad teams. I'll let that one go through to the keeper

Been in my team since open and will stay there if named to start round 1.

Deceptively strong through the hips makes him hard to tackle. Good right foot step to get on the outside of his man. Tends to carry the ball in his right arm and palm with the left which isn't ideal for a left centre since it means primarily palming across his body. Got enough pace to finish a try if he gets into space and soft enough with his hands to set up a support player. Not an athletic freak like a Stephen Crichton.

Did I mention he plays for probably the second best attacking team in the league?

I think he is more talented than Taylan May and just needs a solid preseason to lock down the spot

Yeah Momo's 4k less than Hammer and likely goalkicking for a good team, not to mention he's a huge ball hog

Momirovski is not available at FB. There are plenty of better options than Momi at CTR

But HTF is not an outside back, He will play at FB which is where the value lies. Edwards and Nofo are priced at what they scored last year, with Nofo playing on the WNG in a weak team. CNK is another option for sure but does have the odd low scoring game. At present my WFB is CNK Papy and HTF

Fullbacks in bad teams have just as much chance to put up stinkers. Just look at Corey Allan (19), Nick Meaney (36) and Drinkwater(30) who played fullback for garbage teams. HTF hasn't shown to be a work horse so is likely to be reliant on attacking stats just like these guys. He won't be going anywhere near my squad

Jack Howarth has reportedly re-signed with the Storm for a 5-year deal at 500k a year, so keep him on your watchlist.

I think he's highly likely to debut in R1, though odds are he won't steal the starting edge spot right away. That said I think it's highly likely he'll have it before the end of the year given Felise and now likely Kenny are leaving.

Good to see I got some discussion going Very Happy

I would have thought Crichton would play left and Tago right centre anyway, no?

Looks really quick for a 2nd row, with a great step. 193cm, 105kg. Should be a fantasy beast.

Yeah he looks the goods, almost like Angus Crichton v2.0 with his origin (played centre in union) and body type.

500k a year??? fuck me that's a lot for a 19yo yet to debut, but Bellyache doesn't chuck those type of deals out for nothing though

Allan and Drinkwater played three and two games at FB at the start of the season before being dropped. I would hardly call that a reasonable comparison. Meaney played more games and averaged 37. I can see one 'stinker' (10).

Fidow was trailed for three games at the end of last season with a view to replacing Holmes, who himself average 46 in a rubbish side. Fidow averaged 50 in those three games and in an 8-minute appearance in the final game scored 37. He has now displaced Holmes who will now play in the CTR. You are free to rubbish the selection ion a gut feel if you like, but if you are going to use stats, you need to do a better job than that Laughing

    Fidow = priority pick cheer

Are you asking about the enthusiasm for reading your views, round-up style gossip or forum-collated analysis?

    Yes.

Or are you calling for drafters?

    Because also maybe yes
