A lot of cheap players in your starting team with potentially iffy job security. If Tigers start Luciano and Garner, it makes things tough for you finding another playable $350k edge player
There is literally zero MID/EDG cover which would need to change in any case

Which means you are playing a lt of real life centres in your 17. There's a few decent looking cheap options that will hopefully make some cash, but I am not sure playing so many in your 17 is a good idea. Although I suspect Joshua Cook will either be good enough to play in your 17 or not worth picking so you can promote him for someone.

Aitken and Tago are both edge cover. Can move Tago to Edge and replace him with a center in that price range. Can add someone like Moeroa or Moale in emergencies

My team is much more advanced than AArdvark

    I have

    ?
    ? ?
    ? ? ?
    Cleary ?
    ? ?
    Papenhuyzen Crichton ?

    ? ? ? ?
    ? ? ? ?

There's a few guys who are quite likely to make it barring injury or new signings.
Randall, Ilias, and at least 1 of Burton/Aitken/Bird
Clark, Blore, Gilbert, James, Cotter, Peachey all under strong consideration if TLT is favourable and they look to be long term viable

There are a bunch of cheap CTR options but not sure how many I'll put in my team, so will have to make a gut feel pick of which ones to turn with.

Biggest problem with James is that when he was an elite fantasy FRF he was playing massive minutes. 2019 he averaged 73 minutes a game when starting prop. That won't be happening again. But we don't need him to average 60 points a week to be useful. Just a regular starting prop role would be great, if he can get it.

He showed last season that with reduced minutes, he can massively increase his PPM. In games 30-50 minutes, he averaged 1.13 PPM last season. It puts him in the same kind of category as Taupau, who in games 30-50 minute games had a PPM of 1.07 and Tapine at 1.12 PPM.

    Nice feedback Milch!
I can see the shortcomings of my current draft, way too many unknows.
I've got Tago and Aitken who can fill Blore's spot, but cheap MIDs are hard to come by, hence the inclusion of James. James is high risk, but may provide some quick cash in the early rounds.
A lot of unknowns in the INT EMG, but there are a list of cheap potential starters on the watchlist.

I enjoy a bit of pre-season team building, just to see what is possible. Basketball

Andrew Fifita is interesting. Probably comes out and plays 50+ minutes.

Not many mids in the squad: Fifita, Bird, JTB, Curran, James, Cotter

Indigenous team normally has 1 random fringe NRL player who comes out and beasts it for the all star game

Ben Jones being the standout in my memory.
Fifita probably counts as fringe enough to qualify for that this year. Watch him put up some massive stats in the all star game, every one rushes him into their team, then he doesn't make the round 1 17

AFifi hit 62 off 55 minutes in last year's all stars then managed 120 points across the entire 2021 NRL season so I'll exercise a lot of caution there. Far out if he came back and gunned it again from 240k that would be awesome though, the ultimate fallen gun

    DISCLAIMER: Nothing is confirmed here!

A few prominent members of the NRL/SC community who are usually very very on the money have potentially revealed Penrith star Nathan Cleary is behind on his rehab after having a setback with Covid causing him to be 2-4 weeks BEHIND schedule. Meaning Cleary would look at a RD 3-4 return.

Take this with a pinch of salt as nothing has been confirmed, but definitely something to monitor.

Would blow the comp wide open for sure and make for a good season.

Needs to be taken with a monumental grain of salt, I mean we all saw how much Nath bulked up last season he could easily have a quicker recovery. I don't think JT13 is the only one taking the jab recently if ya catch my drift

Last season Cleary had so much acne he must the last person to ever hit puberty. There’s no other explanation.

It all depends on whether it's a real 3-4 weeks, a Raiders 3-4 weeks, or an Eels 3-4 weeks.

Yes, that's right. The bitterness is strong in this one. Curse you Brad Arthur
