He will still be a top 2 hooker I think and possibly the highest scoring hooker

Now that Cameron Murray is Captain, do we reckon that he ups his minutes at LOCK. This may be more likely if Souths carry Taaffe on the bench? Last year, he only averaged 61 minutes per game. If this gets closer to 70, he could be a good alternative Captain option??

ALSO with Taaffe on the bench, are people thinking there are better options than Ilias? How many minutes will he play. Demetriou suggests he is going to ease him into the role. He will make money but I wonder if there is enough to put him in my side over say Clune?

"He played NSW Cup season before it finished last year and was outstanding, so we are feeling like he is ready to give centre a real crack.

"I’m pretty confident he will handle it pretty well."

TLDR: Looks like $334k Tago is looking increasingly likely to partner Crichton in the Centres

He has got the position, yet even when he played at EDG last year he scored at a snail's pace! What suggests he will get involved much in the play at CTR?

Doesn't miss many tackles, gains metres well enough and capable of registering a few TB's.
It would be nice if he was in the $200's still, but even so, priced at 27, so even as an "average" Center, there should be 6 points of upsdie. I suspect probably a bit more being in a dominant, attacking team.

He's not going to make or break your season, but should be a solid-enough option (amongst a bunch of other fairly solid Centre options in a similar price range)

I might be missing someone but i just looked at who else would be challenging for the centre spot at Panthers and no one stood out.

Taylan May is the other contender.

More convenient fantasy option, if only because he's cheaper.

Still, I would much prefer a higher price mid-ranger who is going to bank price rises up to keeper status than a low price mid-ranger that may just sit there whizzing you off all season. Same rationale for being cautious of Ilias.

Definitely reason to be cautious of Ilias. Fantasy history is littered with base price halves who do nothing.

Going to have to take a punt on someone though. Whether its Ilias, some cheap centre, or a bench prop with crap minutes (or all of the above)

This is a tough call. Uto is the most likely to do well IMO, as his role is fairly certain compared to the other two. But might have the least upside.

I haven’t actually tried to put an affordable squad together but I instinctively want (a) and one of (b) or (c)

I did post last week that the Cowboys halves (Townsend and Drinkwater at least) have been talking the house down according to Coen Hess, does that count?

Hey guys! I hope everyone is pumped for another year of fantasy! My compooter is a little broken at the moment so I’m using my phone which is abit of a hassle/change for me so I may not post until my brother fixes it. But luckily it’s quite easy to read all the discussions on my phone (although definitely not as easy as the poota) so just a quick thank you to everyone for the info and stuff posted here. Absolute legends!
    Cheers slug (lol)

Starting EDGs halfbacks play 80 mins

Do you really think a top team like Souths are going to waste a interchange on the backs to swap halfbacks during a game when it could be used on middles/edge

That seems to be the call at the moment. Maybe Rabbits 21 has some inside info. Regardless of the bench, Where do you think Murray will play AND will it be closer to 80 than 60?
