Yeah he made the switch last season sometime. Will most likely be playing 80mins there this year.lukeaye wrote:

I can only imagine JT being a nightmare for Bird at FB and exploiting the crap out of his inexperience at the back.
if Barba is named on the bench (or more importantly, actually plays there) you don't want to hold him.
Just going to drop cash is he only plays 20 mins a game, so best bet there would be to start without him and then bring him in for whoever is the biggest dud in your HLF/WFB by the time he starts.

Understandable. Even Tigers fans tried not to watch their games last year.lukeaye wrote:

Well that was a wonderful catch up of the last few days posting; I never miss logging on but got caught out the last few days. Many likes and chuckles given. Wonderful to see some of the new posters this year posting each day .
At Random and Bender, fuck you guys, this is the year of the Trousers .
@mango, no probs with the League rego, we will grab your screenshot if we need to, all good.
Leagues will be announced in the next day or so. Apologies for dragging my feet. Bren has been onto me but we will get there.

Thats a very spicy team. POD and risk rich
Swap DCE with thurston for ultimate POD richness and you will either bang or Bust

Good team, risky that's for sure but what's life without a little risk involved. Cherrington is tempting but Robbie could be back as soon as Round 4 plus he'll have to share with Halatau but since Halatau ain't exactly a specialist Hooker, Cherry is more likely to play 40-50 minutes but never ever trust Jason Taylor. Parcell has a slight chance of starting Round 1 with Koroisau an uncertain starter but minutes are a mystery. Flip a coin or wait for TLT to make a final decision.

Not a fan of either. Halatau could rotate when back. Api will get main minutes imo

Surely on track for big minutes and big scores

I have to decide between Woods and McGuire but I reckon both will go great guns.
Maybe I'll drop Bromwich and have both of them..

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 7
My thinking is that with Api/LBrown/Leary all capable I might have to stay away from Parcell.
Cherrington I am going to gamble on with Farah and Ballin out for at least the first four weeks, and hope that one of he and Jnik will go well. If Cherrington fails then I will trade out, bring TMM in and move Jnik up.
I like the fact I've probably got a keeper in each position meaning less trades needed. Smith, Woods, Merrin, DCE, Croker, Tedesco.
Have a look at Woods opening scores to last year and tell me why you shouldn't pick him. Now captain and Taupau gone and already injury problems in their forward pack I think he will demand huge mins 65-70 mins and could even chalk up some 80 minute performances!

Not sure if Loomer just hates Woods, but personally I don't see where he can improve, bloke allready plays massive minutes.lukeaye wrote:Loomer wrote:

Sitting with:
Smith Peats
Fifita Stockwell Grant
Merrin Taukeiaho Ah Mau Carter
DCE Milford Hastings
Copley Auva'a
Mansour Gordon Slater
Couple of selection dependent picks, bring on TLT.

It's not about his minutes, it's his work rate. I'm the first to admit that last season after origin Woods died in the ass and his big scores dried up.
But in the first third of the season he was making 30-40 tackles and like 160+ metres

From memory he didnt play too many 65+ minute games last season, and when he did was very big scores.
I think he is picking him based on the slight increase in base stat prospects, and his reliability at gun status.
At least, that is why i would pick him

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 7
I might be softening my stance on Woods. Was deadset against him the last couple of weeks becuase I didn't know where the improvement would come. BUT that frame of my mind is how I've been trying to find undervalued players. Doesn't mean my number 1 prop has to improve, just keep doing what he's doing.
