I think it's been posted already, but just a few thoughts.
Cowboys team to play Broncos:
1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow
2. Kyle Feldt
3. Valentine Holmes
4. Peta Hiku
5. Murray Taulagi
6. Tom Dearden
7. Chad Townsend
8. Jamayne Taunoa-Brown
9. Reece Robson
10. Coen Hess
11. Heilum Luki
12. Jeremiah Nanai
13. Reuben Cotter
Interchange
14. Jake Granville
15. Jordan McLean
16. Mitch Dunn
17. Tom Gilbert
18. Brendan Elliot
19. Scott Drinkwater
20. Griffin Neame
Payten said Hiku has been helping Nanai with his knowledge of the game on that right edge which confirms what we'd heard earlier. Luki has been re-signed until 2025 which would have to be promising for his prospects, and with Gilbert at 17 maybe there is some truth to that rumour about him moving to Brisbane - although it could still mean that he's sewn up one spot and the other two are battling for the other. Drinkwater and Dearden will get 40 minutes each to help decide who partners Townsend. Lolo has a slight hammy twinge - if it was round 1 he would play, still question marks about how Lolo and Cotter fit together. Payten also said JTB is a big body, mobile, able to play big minutes, make of that what you will.
My personal thoughts are HTF a little undervalued but probably a fraction expensive for the risk. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm wrong and he guns it though. All three edges that are in contention should be excellent value whoever ends up there. I'd be betting on Drinkwater to wear the 6. I think Cotter will get 40-45 minutes and score at his price, but if there are injuries either during a game or through team lists he will benefit greatly and if you are buying on that basis you could probably do worse and his dpp is very handy, it will be interesting to see how many minutes he gets in the trial.
