Can win 20s player of the year all you like some kids don’t transition to the elite level

Clifford never passed the eye test for me, kid can kick but that’s where it ends. Been shite in NRL. Of course it’s only my opinion.

I also dont think Melb change their game plan too much from last year (re grant smith sharing roles) so maybe i wont get Grant. When it comes to making a squad i might realise there is no fitting him in

I kind of see Smith playing 13. Wishart killed it in the trials and looks ready for first grade. I can see Grant/Wishart combo at 9 and Smith playing solely in the forwards now.

Do you reckon we can safely pick Nanai without any eye test?

Jerimiah is my boy, played with and against him growing up in Townsville. Probably a top 3 player I've seen around my age. At his best he's a quick, tackle breaking edge and he's always had a nack for scoring tries even at high representative levels. He's been in my side since the start and I think he could potentially stay there the whole year and avg upwards of 55 given the opportunity.

Egads! Another cheap HOK down. I think I am going to start using the eye test dolphin intuition to help me find a smoky POD from the ashes

Anyone see value in Jarrod Croker? 292k for a guy who should avg mid 30s and should goal kick as well unless I'm forgetting someone???

he was also injured a lot last year, and raiders weren't great. I reckon with a more consistent side this year, JCrok will bounce back and have a good season and make some cash. after all we know he can goal kick and he's also been a serviceable, and all he has to do after that is run catch and pass pretty much. and those mid 30s are right there for him. And hes cheap so worst case im wrong and i trade him out to some cheapy performing well after a round or 2.

He’s 31, in a team that may struggle this year without their halfback, coming off a near career ending stem cell surgery, looking to return to his career high scoring… in the early 30s. Look I’m gonna give him a miss considering you can spend an extra 50k for a few good DPP backs

If Wishart gets straight into the storm 17 it’s a pretty big wrap on Amone/Sullivan because they were in front of him. Can only conclude that the Dragons are set for a 15 year dynasty.

Go with your gut then mate. Sounds like you're pretty set on giving him a crack.

I am a bit wary of Bird now.

If he listed at 2RF now, what happens when Tariq Sims comes back in the side. Does he get listed at 14 and play a utility role or displace JdeB to PROP.

    Anyone given this much thought?
