Will be either him or Talakai, with reports suggesting Wilton is the favourite.

Apart from last season, has had a low of 34 average.

Yeah you don't win 20s player of the year if you're dog shit

You are correct, he's not dogshit and I think he'll end up a decent first grader.
But there is also a bit of a precedent for gun halves that don't kick on - the players that have the high footy IQ early but then can't step up when the players are bigger and faster in the higher grade. Then their contemporaries catch up on the footy side.
Beau Henry was U20s player of the year for the Dragons. He's been playing the third tier of footy in NSW since his mid-20s. A lot of other gun halves at age group have struggled to kick on too. Elgey and Ash Taylor were player of the year as well.

Could be making things up, isn’t Sam Williams regularly player of season in NSW cup? His ability to kick on is limited

I've seen quite a few Jets games at Henson over the last 5-6 years, and some of the halves that are below average at NRL level absolutely gun it down one level. Dan Mortimer was one. They are good footy players, but maybe not quite big enough, or strong enough, or disciplined enough, or reaction speed is a fraction too slow. It's a pretty fine line really. Especially for halves IMO.

ikin confirmed that it was the broncos own protocols that originally ruled him out. Club doctors will meet tomorrow to discuss. Reynolds will be out of isolation on wednesday. So could do captains run on thursday

Is there anything wrong with just locking in a guy like Cook other then just it makes it tough to fill out the rest of the squad.
I'm just thinking Cook v Ipap/Angus etc.. I'd much rather the MID however it's the gap in mid range/cheap Hok versus cheap/mid range Halve/Edge that I'm starting to think the gap is bigger in.
Basically is there a big gap in Cook v Angus in value or am I overthinking it?
Right now I have been able to fit in Cook Haas Ipap Fifita Cleary Pap

To be honest not sold on Grant either it was more just bitting the bullet on a prem hooker + better cheapie versus prem Crichton plus cheap hookersmattnz wrote:
If you think Grant is the guy you would have had if not out in round 1, don't let that stop you. You know he is playing round 2.
