You have to be careful looking at old scoring methods, especially with a player like Burton. He can very easily lose 10 points a game with the kick metre and  and TB nerfs. he also scored doubles in most of his big scoring efforts at half.

Scoring 60 points at a 48 price is still very good. but its a big difference between 60 and 70.

Aitken averaged 4 TBs, 0 offloads at EDG so is nerfed 4 points as well.

All the realistic CTR contenders are getting decent numbers of TBs, so the only real difference is kicking meters.

Dolphin knows too much about rugby league to be me. Definitely not the person who's only spent 1 summer down under.

    Anyway,

The quoted post above was made when it was Welshy's turn to pick in NRL FF Draft League 1.
His previous draft pick was Keary.
I don't see how anyone outside of L1 would know that. Hence, the Alt is in L1.

NRL FF Draft League 1 members suspects:

    EasyTiger - It's not me

Jstevens269 - American, doesn't fit the timezones and would post more if he wanted to post more

wolfking - Too busy for that shit

Welshy - I think I'd love a Welshy Alt - tell us what you really think Welshy Very Happy  - i.e. it's not him

Cantbeatwinners - Doesn't fit the posting times/pattern, and doesn't seem the type for such indulgences - it's not him

    That leaves a villainous 5:

Jele - Seems too much of a stand-up guy to waste his time on Alting... 10-1

Mulvy - Dolphin likes to back up arguments with facts, but then some are more like pseudo-facts with a degree of confirmation bias. It could be Mulvy, but if it is, I think it's likely a split personality and even Mulvy doesn't know he's the dolphin. 8-1

B/L - Ran the survivor hive of villainy, lies and deception. The above post appears to pay Welshy a compliment though, so seems unlikely... 6-1

sajjos - Doesn't post that much to be driven to add in an alt. But is very good at reminding people when it's their turn in draft... 4-1

robelgordo - An active poster - has he been a bit more quiet lately? Doesn't need to go with the masses and can be drawn in to a "good" POD. Keep a close eye on this one - I'd suggest not letting them near a rope, revolver, dagger, lead pipe, candlestick etc 2-1

pookus - not in the DL1 - but likes to be included in any villainy mentions... 1000-1

    Randal
    Uto, arrow, bullimore
    Aitken, Difita
    Cleary, schnieder
    Cotric, cobbo
    Hynes, pappy, schricton

    Cotter, Fifita, Ilias, clune

Leaves me with roughly 1.2m to fill remaining 4 positions.

It’s halfback heavy. I like two captain options. A few iffy selections I’m not thrilled with.

I do not want to run with Randall as my only hooker.

I do not like Kobe Hetherington or Cory Paix as options, and suspect Jake Simpkin won't get a long enough run in the team. If I don't runa  gun hooker with Randall then IMO Clark is the best of the cheapies. But I'd be getting him to ensure hooker cover rather than a particular keenness to have him in my team

Yeah pretty much the same as me, will see what happens come TLT but I don't currently plan to have a gun hooker at this stage so I do think Clark is the next best option

Well obviously he's not displacing Clifford. You'd honestly take Clune over Milford? Milford won't even be getting half a mil if he signed

Agreed, Milf (a fit and interested Milf) is waaay better than Clune - but how fit and interested is he?
I was replying to the assertion that somehow Milf will replace Clifford as dominant kicker - I just can't see it happening.
And Clifford is in my team.

If James Roberts is available at CTR for ~ $260-270k would you get him in your side?
Apart from last season, has had a low of 34 average.

How confident should we be about Luki's chances of getting 80mins this season?
Looking back at last season he never got the full 80 even when Granville was on the bench

Based on last year, I am expecting Nanai to play 80 and Luki to get ~ 60 minutes. Looks to be Kikau light.

    Yeah makes sense.
Do you reckon we can safely pick Nanai without any eye test?

    Thoughts?

Fifita feels like a no brainer, but it depends on how much depth you lose.

I don't have either in my team, I've directed my Fifita $ elsewhere like you suggest but I wish I could fit him in.

Have most gone cold on Mann? He's on my bench but can afford anyone up to 517k however he seems to be the best option there?

Would you guys go a different player or still have confidence in Mann?

I am expecting maybe a 40 average from him. Has missed lots of tackles, but was 18 and one of the games was vs Manly where they got trounced and he missed 7 tackles. Not sure if he was next to Drinkwater, which wouldn't have helped at all.

Nothing but good reports on him this preseason.

Hard to pass up a $350k starting EDG, even at the Cowboys.
