I’m pretty sure there will be a lot more weeks like Round 20 than Round 21 for Burton now that he is at the Dogs

Burton scored 106 in this game. He created everything himself, nothing to do with being in Panthers, could have scored the same at Bulldogs.

You have to watch this video before making that decision

That was also in a team averaging 625 metres per game more than the one he is going to. I know it is a different bulldogs team but I still don't see him dominating like he did at the Panthers

I too would be interested in knowing this. Worse case he is named in the 21 for round one

So why didn’t he do it against the Storm?

Last season I didn't start with Papy which put me on the backfoot.
I did jump on Ipap early (round 5), and with Papy out after round 6 I regained some ranks, but I was too late in jumping on Turbo to keep the momentum going (I got him in after the 2nd bye)
I had 17 play in the first bye which help me get back in the top 3000, but I was too far behind to catch-up to the top.

He scored 73 against the Storm! I'll take that in my CTR any day.

Weird that we have had zero news out of broncos training this week. Not sure if they have locked media out?

Souths used to do it as well. Have a season launch type event where they'd announce the starting team, maybe on a Sunday night?

Been quite a few years since that happened though

Yeah, I would also have finished a lot higher if those pesky Rugby League injuries didn’t keep interfering with my ingenious plan 😉

Edit - Also not going with Burton to start with, madness I know 😜

Settle down mate no need to yell. I was referring to Round 20, didn’t see round 1 up there.

I think I fell into this trap too much last year. I would do TD/TUs when I already had my mind set just to give myself confidence and then when I didn't get the answer I wanted I tried to justify my decision to everyone. This year I am trying to focus on acknowledging what the forum thinks but making my own decisions at the same time.

Yep I was the same the year before asking for specific decision help between 2 players. Looking for good information that I might’ve missed is more what im utilising here now for example katoa, I didn’t notice he was as cheap as he was but when someone pointed it out I had a look for myself and whether he was worth it for me

I like how everyone's just predicting how teams are gonna perform this year before the start of season like they can see into the future. People need to wait a few rounds before deciding if someone's not gonna get as many attacking chances because of the team they're on. I think this is gonna be a very close year, a lot of good teams got a little worse and a lot of bad teams gained some big pieces. I'm very excited for this year!

With less kick metres and less points for kick metres and tackle breaks and at the dogs I think he'll only average around 52 making him 4 points underpriced. With better options around his price and better value in the centre position, at the moment, I'm going without him

If he wasn't available at centre I would more strongly consider leaving him out of my team...but being able to lock him in there and *hopefully* not have to worry about one player in that nightmare position that centre proves to be every year is too good to pass up imo. I think he's plenty safe enough in terms of base with considerable upside when the big attacking stat games come.

Granted there do seem to be better cheap centre options than usual this year but I'll still absolutely take a dominant half at that position instead.

My opinion on Burton is before the season i was going to have him in the halves. just the fact that hes available at centre is icing on the cake. for me he is a must have. should average up around the 60s about 10 points higher then the next best centre will average.

Burton kicked on average 125m a game last year. He is certainly going to increase that this year.
He'll score less tries too, but I don't think its worthwhile just looking at last years stats without considering the position he was playing (as well as the team he was in)

Also picking up a 50 point scoring centre for unders is a great deal.

Especially when most teams are stacking their team with cheap rookies who will struggle to average past 35.

On paper, the Dogs got a lot better this year.

Burton, Addo-Carr, TPJ, Dufty all make them better. I think people got a little put off by how poor they were in the trial against the Sharks. But even if they suck this year, they'll suck less than in 2021

If I had to pick 2 out of Hynes, Pap and Burton I would pick Hynes and Pap.

How many 240k players do we think is too many? Should you not have anymore than 4?
