This is clear bias towards Burton, over all the other halves in the comp mate.

On job security I think Burton is the least likely to be moved to another position even if there are issues early days. Bird I’d put in the middle for job security with Dragons having 3 rep quality edge options with Sims and Su’a. Lomax and Suli can also do a job at centre. Aitken I think is the least secure of the 3 long term but good short term security until Tohu comes back.

Dogs last year were 4 wins worse than second last team and I don’t think they will be that bad this year. Dogs biggest problem last year was lack of creativity and point scoring which they now have. I don’t think they make the top 8 but I also don’t think they run last by 4 wins so not worried about Burton’s scoring ability. I think worst case scenario Burton averages 45 as a keeper centre with less volatility than traditional gun centres. Upside I could see him getting in the 55-60 range with similar scoring profile to Moses

    My thoughts are pretty similar.

Aitken is $53k cheaper than Burton which may be the deciding factor

That list is Arrow, Stefano, Radley, Paulo, Tapine, Welsh.

I know that T'lololo has been described as playing big minutes but I don't know why Cotter is so out of favour as a back-up HOK. I reckon he will take about 20 minutes of T'lololo and 30 minutes of Robson and at the very least maintain his price (or increase it slightly). Then if there are any injuries, he will kill it. Money saved allows you to shift to other options in more lucrative positions. DWalker too. He will play Round 1 and looks likely to score well at MID. He is also DPP.

Yeah this is what I think too.

The MIDs Id definitely pick over Uto are: Bullemor

    Probably Lolo.

All those others have just as many question marks.

I think you will find Granville on the bench, like every round he wasn't in the starting side last season. Provides hooker cover and multiple backline positions as well.

Isaako training at fullback. Cobbo was initially training fb reserves but is now on right wing. Left wing is Oates.

Kelly and Walters the halves but that was to be expected with no Reynolds or Gamble due to spicy cough restrictions at present.

Toying with the idea of not starting with Cleary, but there really aren't any great second options. Cleary's worst score all season was 59. DCE, Hughes, Moses and co all had at least 10 scores 59 or less....

    But they are 500k less....

(If I didn't go with Cleary, I'd run Fifita as Captain)

DCE is only $200k less, Hughes $400k

Yes, my point about being season ending was more around the idea if you refuse to admit you were wrong and pick him up when he starts killing it à la Turbo last year

Surprised to see Brenko not get a run if Oates and Cobbo are on the wings

He is sure to start at prop round 1, with Tamou out suspended.

Could easily play 60 minutes that round, then benched for round 2 with Tamou returning.

Alternatively he keeps the spot, but plays maybe 45 minutes, scoring at the level he is priced at.
I don’t think he goes back to the bench and I still think he’s likely to get 50-55mins.
