If anyone wants some help with deciding which MID they'll go with I'd like to propose the following options:
    - Cheese
    - Haas
    - Murray
    - Thompson

All four players scored 69 last year not once, but twice. Cheese scored them in 69 minutes, further solidifying his appeal.

    Think about it.

Kelly and Walters the halves but that was to be expected with no Reynolds or Gamble due to spicy cough restrictions at present.
    Could be bad for Pereira?

Sounds like bad for Broncos if playing Oates over Periera.

Fox Sports article today saying "Off-contract Broncos winger Corey Oates is facing the axe from Brisbane’s starting line-up for Round 1 with his career at a crossroads."

    One last chance @Mr peanutbutter

I was in the process of replacing you when I noticed you had logged in this morning. Open your PM, join your leagues in the next few hours or I'm finding someone else.

On the other hand if you avoid the majority and he stinks it up, then you have a massive leg up.

Damn, writing this up and I am still no closer to whether I pick him or not...
It’s not the opening rounds you need to worry about. I think they start their horror run from about Rd 3.

For the dogs, just playing against in the NRL can count as a "horror run"

Just look at what Averillo scored for them last year, and then realise that
    a) Burton is better than Averillo
    b) the dogs have improved as a team

This forum is travelling at a fair rate of knots.
I got back to within 5 pages of current, but then it surged again.

My Highlight so far has been the bad luck Starling trade - very funny

My suggestion for an opportunity to improve strategy is that any player (Hodgo) isn't a certainty to be heading out the door IF they still have more than a year to run on their contract (other clubs technically can't approach), unless the club itself comes out and says they have given permission for that player to look elsewhere.

This is especially true if the only rhetoric you have is an alleged "falling out" between a player and the coach based on some journo's click-bait inside scoop...

The best fantasy players look for mistakes in their game and what they can take away from it (decision making process, missing pertinent information etc) - deciding you were just unlucky gives you no opportunity to become better (even if some decisions are a pinch of bad luck).

PS > All fantasy teams have to ride injuries

PPS > Please don't make me bring out "the definition of insanity"... Wink

I’ve just been doing a few drafts amazing what a better balanced team you can get when just say fuck it and just run Randall at hooker with no cover.

Is it balanced if you don’t have hooker cover tho

It’s amazing how hyped you are for a 28yo journeyman winger.

I get what you mean but it just looks better team wise. I’m just over hooker this year.

Oates has pulled his finger out in pre season since hes off contract and realised he isnt wanted

Not sure it will translate onto the NRL field but we'll see

Theyre all barely average options tbh

They already took a Warriors discard on the wing last season and have one of the best wingers in the comp on the other side.
