NRL Fantasy 2022 Part 7 - Guess the total fantasy points scored Thursday!

As soon as word is official about Tapine's exemption he's straight into my team. You've convinced me there Matto. Until then I'll have some money laying around to upgrade to him if he kills it to start the season.

I do like Matt's idea of subbing in Mitchell over Pap.

With Papy under an injury cloud, the points reduction in TB's and losing the goal kicking.... anyone else thinking it might be worth starting with Teddy instead? by my math, he averaged 69 in games when he played 80, he averaged 7.4 in goals, and 5.8 in TBs, which drops his average to 55.8, and that's assuming he is fit and plays the full 80.

That 69 average already includes reduction in TBs. So stays above 60 without goalkicking. I think he'll get the kicking back soon enough, assuming he stays fit.

How's Fantasy going to work with Covid?

Example: 1/2 a team get's struck down with Covid, meaning they can't field a team, with the match to be rescheduled at a later date.


Is it just a "too bad, shit happens" scenario? Or will they give us "free" trades to trade a player who was going to be involved in that match?

EG: Storm can't play next week because they all have Covid. Their opponents, Rabbits, don't have a game. Are we going to get the option to trade in/out players from those teams without using any trades, or is it still going to cost trades? Because there's probably going to be players out every single week. Going to make trading even riskier because the player you trade in, might be out next week.

However, I would need to drop Matt's favourite EDG Wilton (who I do tend to agree with has the chance to make that his own and should make good cash in ~5 weeks regardless) or my backup Hooker to Randall, Clark.

Mann, Wilton, Clark (even as backup hooker) probably the order of priority most agree with?

Would love any and all feedback on my proposed team if anyone gets time click my team tracker

Mann has valuable DPP, but I don't think he'll be the Watson of last year. Didn't seem to rack up the attacking stats in the trials, very Victor Radley-esque in that regard. I'd go Wilton above him.

Teams are allowed to play outside top 30 players, unlikely the whole 30 players gets COVID

Mann has been a tricky one for me, hard to work out with no history at lock but I think he'll likely plod along for a 40 average and probably just hold his price.

Would much prefer Wilton who we know can average 50, obviously accepting the risk there though when Graham returns but he is a good player and could definitely win the spot on merit.

As was mentioned in earlier threads, I often imagine someone's avatar as being the speaker of what they wrote. When I look at mine, I imagine people thinking I'm some sort of nutter.
