I don't plan to start with Walters, if he does get dropped it'll be hard to get rid of him at that price.

I'll keep an eye on him, and if he looks to have the spot locked up, I'll trade an underperforming cow to him (e.g. if Tuilagi gets benched for Garner)

Coach Jason Demetriou says Blake Taaffe has pulled up okay after limping off the field with an ankle injury at today’s captains run. He has a plan c if all else fails.

Many teams would play with 12 or even forfeit after such a setback due to lack of further plans. But Souths have a Plan C to replace their 2nd string FB with a 3rd string FB, if required. That's why they pay him the big bucks.

From recent seasons, based on ownership of certain players late in the piece it seems about 30-40% are dead teams.

The % Clearly captainers at lockout is going to be a very accurate measure of how many teams were never even live.

damn. looks pretty straightforward when i write it down.

Might be interesting to have a thread with a captaincy poll here. The top 15 there (excluding Cleary) as options plus "other". Guessing Haas and Fifita top, a few others a bit more popular than amongst the masses. Turbo and the other WFBs down.

TU by a mile, but I would go a cheap centre (Penisini/Billy Smith/Critta) instead of Aitken, and use the money to upgrade another mid tier player to a genuine gun.

I got rid of Fifita last night because I did not think he would play 80 but from this it would appear the plan is to do so.

Funnily enough I played around taking Fifita out this morning. I really wanted him in there, but I can get Haas and Cook, put Ipap down to edge and punt Clifford and Clark. Just need to decide which cheapies I put in. I still think Fifita goes well and will be nervous watching without him, but I'm hoping the Eels belt them at home and if there's anyone who can handle Fifita, hopefully it's Ipap! The other problem you have is watching Fifita against the Warriors, Raiders and Tigers over the next 3 weeks.
