First half was great, second half was a snoozefest.

Sloppy as hell, but this early in the season all that matters is those 2 points... I expect well see Reed & Opacic next week with Kahu hurt & Eden having feet for hands.

Re: Round 1 Match Thread
pretty average game for the spectator but it was round 1
brisbane were always in control, eels will be better, no norman and foran makes it really hard. their biggest concern was their right side D, i feel like if brisbane were more switched on, they could have put on another few tries down there

Re: Round 1 Match Thread
Good to see Hunt's work in the off season pay dividends and catch the kick off. Hope he can carry that form through the season. Hope he hasn't peaked to soon and drop them come finals time.

Re: Round 1 Match Thread
apparently what we saw re bunker was played live at the ground too (with the audio)
which is awesome, transparent, fast and so far 2/2 on decisions. good early signs

So is this where all the cool kids hang out during the games rather than the fantasy thread?

Re: Round 1 Match Thread
I thought that was a really strong performance by us, forwards destroyed manly all night, Nate myle and Marty tapau consistently out played
Reynolds did some really nice things, mbye did a nice job too
Lichaa injury is a worry, he was playing well too. Didn't seem to serious. Garvey isn't a terrible back up at least. Didn't take us lol to pick up 3 injuries in one game lol
I watched fox tonight, all pre game was how much better manly will be this year and the slide we were in for, all tipped manly, was awesome seeing them all backtrack at halftime. I know It's only Rd 1 but I still enjoyed it.
Jamie Lyon is a better centre then he is a pivot but walker at 6 will not succeed IMO

And I swear I saw trex run hard like 4 or 5 times, I don't think he has done that in the previous 3 seasons total lol

Re: Round 1 Match Thread
Manly looked very flat tonight, with so many new players in the side you could tell they haven't gelled as a team yet.
The Bulldogs looked pretty good but a more accurate measure of their performance wont come until they face some stronger opposition.
