Conflating your points, it seems the most sensible thing if you think those are the two hottest centre pairings would be to carry Tamago into the first bye and sell to Talatalo before the second. (Of course a lot can happen before now and then)

Can't remember who made the point that people are looking at the Penrith cow backs wrong and the point is to get their scoring rather than the absolute max in cash generation, so it would be preferable to jump off Tago for example in Round 15 for 520k rather than in Round 8 for 600k.

If Riff score 50% of their tries up the middle that would still leave more tries out wide than most other NRL teams in their entirety though...

    Current team is

    Randall
    Arrow Mann MKing
    Fifita Tuilagi
    DCE Schneider
    Burton Bird
    Hynes Papy SCrichton

    JKing Tago Jones Starling
    Nanai Ilias Thompson Koula

I’m $10k short of JKing + SCrichton -> Cleary + Taafe, but like Booze now thinking I should hold onto SCrichton as WFB/CTR cover.

    But would you go:

    (A) JKing + SCrichton -> Cleary + Lee (Lee would have to play WFB3)
    (B) JKing + Bird/Burton/Tago -> Cleary + Taafe (Taafe as WFB3)
    (C) JKing +SCrichton -> Haas + Taafe (Taafe as WFB3)

Leaning towards (B), but struggling to decide which of the three centres to let go.

Any other options I’m missing to bring in Cleary or Haas? Nanai or Schneider doesn’t give me enough cash, and if I trade Arrow or Mann out along with JKing, I’ll need to play Thompson as my third MID.

I honestly can't believe what I have been reading these last few pages.
Selling the highest equal averaging WFB who has pedigree and who already cracked the hundy this year for a guy in an unheard, for him, hot streak on the wing and who has historical averages in the 30s has to be the definition of madness and senseless trading.
If you are considering this trade, take some time to really think it through and look at stats over more than 3/4 rounds. Otherwise there will be tears when the inevitable 10-25 score pops up

In your circumstances A) as well
I think it depends on the team but this gives up the least and still gives you cleary.
Lee can be a cheap stop gap, best case makes some coin and you upgrade him after the first bye once someone better comes along

    I like B.
As an alternative, you could get Edrick instead of Taafe, and leave a bit in the bank.
Of the 3 centres, I’d be trading Bird, although I can see why Burton could also go.

Well he’s either dropped or manages to hold off 2/3 of Young, Hunt, Tuala to hold his spot. I think former slightly more likely. But I have no insider knowledge on this, just speculating. It’s definitely a very cheap risk tho - if he doesn’t get tries could have a red dot that made no cash by R10

Elliott Whitehead having plastic surgery on his mouth and needs to have his teeth re aligned.
This does not sound very pleasant at all, poor bugger.
You’d think he misses at least a few weeks and this could increase the chances of Harry Rushton hanging around.

I think Young comes back in, he was quite impressive early on.
I’m hoping Lee stays also and Tuala and Hunt are benched.
I was impressed with Edrick’s involvement last week.
    It’s obviously a risk though.
Although, by round 10, Edrick has made around 100k if he keeps scoring 32.

I'd opt for A as well.
B removes a strongly playable CTR.
C gives you an elite player that is probably still 10+ points under Cleary on average (so that's some lost Captaincy points).

Maybe people get some luck with Taaffe, but both Lee & Taaffe are relatively unattractive cash-outs, but Lee is at least $100k cheaper (I'm looking like ending up with Lee as well FWIW)

Very few will have Talatalo. Will be a rare POD strategy that a few teams have. Just 4 of us that I have seen with it on this forum.

Mulitalo is in just 0.2% of top 1,000 teams this week, in a week where everyone is focused on getting Cleary, and he will cost well over $600k next week.

I reckon Edrick will be first choice now that he's fit and assuming form stays reasonably solid. Tuala and Hunt seem more like admirable fill ins. Edrick has a fair bit of upside/"xfactor" if he hits top form.
