Burton is out this week for me.

Think he's peaked. Has had one game above 45, against Broncs. Losing kick metres and goals to Flanagan. BE is 56. Will start losing cash and remain. Cleary will hit 90s weekly. Also 1st bye round he has Panthers.

Why would he be out when 12 squad members either injured or RAT positive and he wasn't amongst the names? You mean you want him to be out so you can justify trade? I kind of do too as could 1 trade to Ponga instead of having to 2 trade Jing and Leo to Ponga and cheap potato

Some sketchy news yesterday on a team dinner thing which they had on Tuesday night before the positive RAT tests. All the positive players attended but not sure who else was there so was keeping an eye out for more late scratchings

But TBH there was a bit of justification going on. I wouldn't mind if he was out because otherwise I'll find it hard to convince myself to push the button on what appears to be a sideways trade....one more week and all that

Edit : they all tested negative today

Outside of that? In no particular order:

    JRiki
    XSavage
    AElliott

    Lots of potential value there.

    Cheers mate

I'm not going near Verrills after having him for most of last year, his scoring is absolute poo even when he plays 60 minutes a game.

I think I'd also put a line through Elliott and Savage, the Raiders are a basketcase and I'd rather just get Rushton if he can stay in the team Very Happy

Riki and DWalker are the top two on that list for mine, Riki has upside and DWalker is a solid 40ish points a game and plays first bye.

Edit: I just had a look at Riki's stats this year, he gets more tackles than I thought, and I think he's definitely due some attacking stats, I might get on at some point if Nanai has another 20

    TU: Mann to Cleary
    TD: Burton to Cleary

Mann not needed in my MID or HLF, got him on the bench

I would hold Burton, he'll be useful for round 13 and his draw has been really bad the last few weeks. I'm actually looking to buy him sometime in the next few weeks

Im not one to usually trade out and then a back in, but was considering Burton out now while he's shedding cash and look at how he goes the next few weeks for a possible trade back in to CTR prior to Rd 13 if he looks to be on the up again

The question I have is how much money does he really lose? If he was playing Origin or didn't play R13, he'd be an easy sell and then a pickup before round 17 or 18, but if you've held him this long, you might as well keep him, I still think he's a keeper at CTR, just not by HLF standards

I've had my 2 trades this week locked in since Tuesday morning but doing those (Teddy/JKing to Talakai/Cleary) means that I will have to hold Nanai this week. If Nanai gets another 20, he will have to go next week (but would only lose like 10k so I can hold him this week).

Most of the guys at Nanai's price or under are either midrange junk or other peaked cheapies, and I would prefer to only use one trade next week if possible (ideally none if Nanai can get a 45+ score)

If Luki gets another 80 mins on the edge, he'll be a good pick up next week. One to keep an eye on

Oh yeah I forgot about him. I was looking at getting him this week if I couldn't get Talakai in as my 2nd trade alongside Cleary, but hopefully he can keep an 80 minute role, he looks good on that edge and gets through a lot of work unlike Nanai

This article has a video which shows Papy's swollen ankle at the end of it https://www.zerotackle.com/ryan-papenhuyzen-set-to-race-clock-for-anzac-day-after-ankle-injury-116358/

It is the same ankle that he had issues with in pre-season.

Yeah Nanai is like Munster but way worse in that he gets a lot of missed tackles from chasing kicks and trying to slow guys down, in real NRL that's a good thing but it's bad for fantasy.

MTs like that are why I wish they were only -1 and not -2

I was going to suggest the same thing. Could trade Burton out now (Assuming you've had since round 1), If he keeps scoring 30's, drop 100K or so, buy back for round 13 perhaps.

Depends on your plans for him. When Carrigan is back he probably goes back to 65 points in 65 minutes.

If you don't have Murray, 65 points in the first 65 minutes of the game seems to be his floor and in close games he plays 80 minutes for 80 points pretty consistently so far this season. Should have the higher average over the season and is a great POD. Far more likely to get over for a try to hit 100 too.

With Pappys ankle issue it might just be the best course of action to bring Lee in this week for WFB cover in the 18-21.

100% expect him to average around the 20-25 mark

    Via NP:
Injury mystery of 2022 so far - Josh Schuster. Initially expected back Rd6, now earliest return will be 10+ weeks post surgery (longest NRL recovery time from injury type in 3 years). Now out of rehab but only just starting strength training. A more extensive surgery or setback?

It is the same ankle that he had issues with in pre-season.

It's a concern but having been on the receiving end of about 1,000 sprained ankles it always blows up like that and then goes down in about 2-3 days with ice, compression and elevation.

The extent of the ligament damage will determine whether or not he plays as it's quite plausible that he could play with relatively little discomfort a week later
