Well admittedly I haven't seen any Titans games this year - but they don't instill any pts suppression fears in me .

Pretty happy with my start in the $5k Super Saturday special Smile  Actually, dunno if it's this arvo's beers or not, but I reckon i'm in the box seat - all things being equal.

Ended up throwing two teams in, and after the 1st game - One's coming 21st with 5 to come, and the other is 41st with 5 as well. I've got at least 2 players more to come than most of those in front of me, and the 2 guys that only have 1 less than me are only 9 and 12 pts in front respectively.

Although as usual I expect updates to ream me Sad

Dread lord who has played for you?

    I had
Hodgson - not good enough 10 short of what I expected
    Papali - as expected
    Matoroa - killed it
Crocker - nowhere near good enough

No Milford(love him in tournie play but injury cloud worried me knew he would play but thought he might be hampered) for me so most likely won't cash tonight

    533 teams
    400 teams with tedesco
200 teams with tedesco Crocker combo so if tedesco also doesn't hit his value the 300 teams without both and especially the 50 teams with neither are feeling good.

100 teams have Milford only 10 or so won't have either of tedesco or Crocker and if tedesco fails most likely those 10 with finish in top 30 I reckon.

These are rough figures based on % ownership in the 5k

You're doing well DL generally 360 will get you in the money so if the Tigers play like the first 2 weeks you should get there.

I wonder if the 930pm start will effect the Tigers?

Yeah, lost a fair bit ground there though - about 30 teams with milf went past me. Hope to get at least 1 team into the cash - but need Moses Cheers and Nofo to slay it to have a shot at the title.

Then again, those two might stink it up and I end up 200th Lol

Naq has scored twice but only 15 in front of nofo. Maccas won't be caught

Naiqama's my pod in the other team - it actually briefly took over my main team for a while there.

I think 'dpwoodford' will overtake 'maccas'. I'm still hoping for a big 2nd half from Moses and Nofo to get into Top 5-10.

Coming 2nd at half-time in the Drags vs Rabs $1k.
Leader's a fair way in front though [20.8 pts], need Goodwin and Gurgess to aim up - and Johnston and Carter to die.

Oh, and everyone else behind me to stink it up as well Twisted Evil

I found this interesting on fantasyinsiders. Its about Stacking, which we basically all do but good to have a visual representation for player combinations.

Yes it's always good to see these things broken down into a statistical form to provide an insight. A lot of it is obvious in the sense that we know if a team is going to win big, the wingers, the halves, the centres etc are likely to score well. And given they their interactions on the field it affects their scores.

The other thing it really highlights though is if you do want to "stack" Its a real bang or bust strategy, which arguably is more good then bad, given there is no prizes for finishing in the middle. What I mean by that is that is take the souths game, you would expect a big win, therefore if you stacked on their team, you would have inevitabley had no chance at winning. BUT, if they did well and you didn't stack, and cherry picked from other teams, you would more than likely not finish at the top anyway. Therefore I think there is merit to going bang or bust on certain teams.

That's why in the big tournies you see quite a few people enter multiple teams.

EG for a whole round comp, have a team stacked with Cowboys players, one stacked with Raiders players, one stacked with Tigers players hoping for one of them to win big.
Of course this week it wouldn't have turned out for the best, (The Tigers stack could have done OK if you had Tedesco + Naiqama) But noone is going to win a big prize like that every week - you just need to win frequently enough to cover what is going in without running out of bankroll

In hindsight a Parra stack of Radradra/Jennings/Gordon would have been good, especially if you took a punt on TMM for value in the halves to go with it..
