Trade in to start as WFB? No thanks.

Everyone got him because he allowed for Cleary. Covers CTR and WFB, but I'd only be using that if my hands were tied and couldn't trade whoever was out to someone better.

Could make 100-150k with a 27-30 average if he sticks around though. One good score would help, possible with Trbo back and Manly looking like they can get some momentum going.

MattNZ bold predictions thread,  Feb 2022

“The iPap most improved player of the year award goes to Nick Meaney, who Bellamy turns into Hynes / Papy with an average of 50 off the bench.”

Gotta laugh with all this Meaney talk.   If you left out “off the bench” MattNZ you’d be looking like a genius.

I think they'll get some points at least, especially considering that Tui's next two opponents are Corey Oates and Hayze Perham. I think he's likely to keep his tryscoring up then, and then he'll be running at Ieremia in round 12 too.

Manly with Turbo back is quite different to Manly without Turbo

2022 Turbo is also different to 2021 PVL ball Turbo but sounds like you’ve made your decision, I’d just be wary is all

    Koula does not warrant FOMO.

You sure he'll play Round 13? Incumbent Origin winger from a winning series, played well, probably gets a spot if he's fit.

Sorry mate didn’t word it too well. 100% he plays origin just still like him to score more in one less game than some of the others that will play 13.

Cheers mate. Really need Edrick to have a blinder. I think if he can manage 40 I’ll make a different second trade

    Rabbits-style captaincy flap:

Would normally auto-captain Cleary for every game *except* the Storm. Not confident on Hynes either with Trindall there, so Hynes playing FB not FB *and* half

iPap actually looking the safest choice, or gamble on a Turbo beast mode game for ceiling?

I haven't made my decision, honestly I have no fucking idea what to do here.

Meaney would be the easy pick if he played 13, but he doesn't so he may only get 3 games and at 500k already not sure if he makes enough to warrant 2 trades

Tui could hit 500k but Manly's draw isn't great even if Tui's opposite wingers aren't great either

Manu seems like a decent scorer but is very expensive and the Chooks draw is horrific

To'o looks the goods coming back but has Origin

I'm stuck with Edrick and Koula and have been trading like a smacked testicle, so I'm leaning towards holding Pappy and playing him in my WFB and looping in Lee or Koula each week at the bottom of my EMG, getting a look at whoever plays first before I decide what I do with the other one.

I cannot see any way that this will not be a resounding success.

Does it need to be a WFB? Can you not play a Crichton/May/Koula/Taaffe in place of Papi and bring in another position for round 13

I can play Koula but he is my only cover at WFB, so I don't want to commit to doing that unless I have a realistic way of getting some other WFB in if one of May/Koula/Hynes gets injured or dropped.

I already had May at WFB alongside Hynes and Papy.

Might just get To'o, Origin be damned because he's running at Ieremia this week and is the most likely of the subgun WFBs to be a keeper

What does Niko mean for Cook? I want to buy Cook and put C on him. Surely he doesn't stop being 80 min hooker?

Kodi affects Cook about as much as Benji did

Don't overthink Meaney. 34 AVG at fullback for one of the shittest attacking teams of the last decade, now playing for one of the greatest of the last decade. Not to mention goal-kicking as well.

I'm thinking I'll just get To'o straight in and hope he can be a keeper. BE is high but he is up against Dean Ieremia (who is an absolute slug), and he should back up from Origin in rounds 14 and 18 (Penrith have Sunday games in both rounds)

Obviously Hynes is a huge risk, not going there. Cleary is against the Storm, but at least it's not at aami park. They don't have Pappy to organise the defence and they have a fill in centre. Panthers could defo exploit that. Ipap up against Angus? I don't really see him as captain material anyway. Out of all of those, I don't mind the Turbo punt, but not for me. I'll probably go with the boring (C)leary.

Yeah. Could backfire but sub 500K, worth the punt. Pap won't be rushed back either.
