I'm thinking I'll just get To'o straight in and hope he can be a keeper. BE is high but he is up against Dean Ieremia (who is an absolute slug), and he should back up from Origin in rounds 14 and 18 (Penrith have Sunday games in both rounds)

You were making flyers for Meaney to hand out a few hours ago lol.

Obviously Hynes is a huge risk, not going there. Cleary is against the Storm, but at least it's not at aami park. They don't have Pappy to organise the defence and they have a fill in centre. Panthers could defo exploit that. Ipap up against Angus? I don't really see him as captain material anyway. Out of all of those, I don't mind the Turbo punt, but not for me. I'll probably go with the boring (C)leary.

Ipap will be running at Sam Walker though, plenty of TBs to be had there

I dunno. Fbs dont just average high because they play for a good team. Certainly helps, but Papys avg at fb is not interchangeable with meaneys avg at fb. Papy does things that most nrl players cant

Panthers are undefeated and edwards averages 41.

Meaney isnt a bad pick up but 35 to 41 seems reasonable. Prob does get 40ish due to gk

Edit wait panthers lost last week haha

Edit2 yeah meaney has a handful of weeks shelf life. Priced at 35. If he had the rest of the season it would be a better buy. Not for 4 weeks

Meaney isn't a keeper unless Papy is out for the year though, if Papy is back in round 14 that means we get three games out of him.

He is a good buy but To'o is more likely to be a keeper to the end, and considering I've saved only two trades so far, it's appealing to just lock him into my WFB

How shit is my team? I probably have to keep Schneider because if I sell him, I have to promote one of Koula, Walters, E Lee or Davey to my 17.

Also Coates and Ilias are in my 17. Hasn't worked out too bad the last two weeks but I am deadset in no position to play anyone better.

I cannot see any way that this will not be a resounding success.

If you expect 10 points each week I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised - most weeks.

Papy to Elliott is one no brainer trade I have atm

Other trade I can go Walters to anyone up to 693k

Don't think Burbo is worth the punt... just don't trust it

Who would you pick out of:

    - Jackson > a 50-55 average will see him as a keeper until the end
    - Cotter > strong in recent weeks but right in the Origin frame so makes his bye usefulness null
    - Robson > if Granville tore an ACL at training then he'd be right in but always that uncertainty. Final HOKs will probably end up Cook and Grant, maybe Mahoney, so not sure if space for another one if you could afford them all? Playing 80 makes him a great option though
    - Burton > Probably the best CTR2 next to Aitken and is on the up with a decent draw. Could always go back to his shit form and pump out 20s and 30s though?

Been going round n round in circles. The team seems more balanced with Papy to McInnes, Jones to Elliot.

    Very tough choice

Sorry that’s rather unhelpful but really gotta go gut,

That said I prefer one that’s def playing rd 13

    Robson or Jackson

I could sell Schneider in EMG and Papy for Meaney and Cook and 79k itb. That seems decent. Could hold for Tohu though

Yeah thinking between those two as well. Jackson seems the safe and boring option

Jackson punched overs in his 55 minutes last week.
I would be waiting to see if his minutes returns to 80 first because he needs every one of them.

You reckon Burton or Robson better pick ups at this stage then?

Squad value update this week is 13.32m plus 32k banked if people were curious

Still potential for some slow burn earning but most are drying up now so less worried about making cash.
Can afford to hold some players losing a little but I am finally in a luxury of not having to risk short term potential dodgy cash outs.

If people have been curious what I have been doing
The first few weeks I fixed the team to get it stable and with the right cows/players with potential
These early fixes helped build my cash reserve and took a while to start seeing the earlier sacrifices/benefit (Ie not chasing the top tier guns for the instant fix)
The past few weeks I have been focusing more on getting the cash into the playing 17 to maximise the potential points rather than having too much tied up in NPR's
So it meant having to offload a couple players I could have possibly held but their cash allowed big upgrades and more stable points elsewhere

Also made sure I avoided too many risks on the 13-17 bench (Ie having to play risky backs or players with questionable minutes/role) so made this my POD and you could say this has been paying off
Last week my bench scored 266 points so similar to the hooker year, it does a lot of the heavy lifting at the expense of spreading the cash a little thinner and missing a gun or 2

Next stage is timing the final cow trades from rd13 bye into rd14 for the run home and last bye

Though I have just mostly gone with gut trades, players I like to watch and a rough game plan and stuck to it
Trying to keep things fresh and perhaps give things or old strategies a shake

Have both. Could get JJ instead of Cook this week and have money for 400k odd player to Tohu next week. What you think. Cook keeper and seems like great C pick this week

2 for 1 is nice, and probably kicks out a riskier player from your scoring I would imagine too

    For example
Ie Cook + Leo vs JJ + Harris

Is trading in Meaney a bad idea if Hynes and Coates are my other WFBs? Aim higher with Turbo or Teddy?

Sorry doods, I don't believe one can search for three letter words so I can't search back too far, but out of curiosity, no one interested in Hoy? 1. playing for a troubled team and 2. could lose his spot next week to Clifford and 3. no Clune last week, who undoubtedly eats into his scoring more than Crossland would?

Not saying I'm interested myself, just noticed his name as I was seeing who I could afford as a swap for Schneider. Scored 24, 49 and 46 in his three starts this year. 46 last week at five eighth not a bad effort, but way too many causes for concern, though.
