Yeah, woke up a bit cold in him, but I'm still interested. I guess trading him in playing the Panthers is in the back of my mind though.

Definitely on the radar - will wait for a game to see how he goes, BE is still pretty high, so a 60 won't cost too much.
    Pre-Rd.13 gun for sure.

He didn’t JD has lost the plot for mine Paulo is not a centres arsehole. He’s no good he can’t pass either. Rabbitohs Radio said we are soon releasing Jaxson Paulo mid season so I can’t work it out. Tass should’ve been given another go.

I cannot see a stronger rationale for a trade-in for ages.

He fills the gap at WFB. Has been putting up keeper scores already on the WNG, is goal kicking and plays for the storm. He will get additional games right across the origin period - perhaps even at HLF. What is not to like?

I usually think you are the president of the Matt Pods fan club but totally agree with you and am in, also like dolphins

The risk isn't his average (I think he'll go well), the risk is that he doesn't make enough money in 3 games to justify 2 trades, misses 13 and then Papy returns in round 14 (4 weeks post-injury).

    I still think he's a good buy but it isn't a risk-free one

My worry with Meany is that in 25 career games at fullback where he hasn’t scored a try he has only managed better than 35 on 3 occasions (and 6 of those 25 he had goal kicking as well). Sure he gets more opportunities for the goal kicking and attacking stats with a better team but the Storm don’t have a super easy draw over the next 4-5 weeks (Penrith, Cowboys, Manly, bye, Roosters)

Damn straight! Certainly not when there's a near-base price centre floating around, with poor job security and a low BE.

Not to mention a fallen gun mid playing out of position in hooker!

And even a fallen gun hooker playing out of position in mid!

What rich times we live in.

I know that but we are talking about bringing in a guy priced at 35 who will get a few weeks in the position. Its not a trade that you can sit through a few poor scores and wait.

That said, who knows with Papy. Might be out for much longer. At least its not his head this time.

Anyway I don't think its the worst trade. I don't mind it really. I think he's good for 35-40. Expecting more is just hope. He's not going to do Papy things.

There's good arguments for both sides but I don't think anyone trading him in would be expecting him to replicate Pap. He could be a winner or he could be a more expensive Taffe.

That’s why I opted to spend 100k more and at least I don’t have to worry about someone’s return

Meaney should channel Graham and bust out the Vaseline for extra distance for sliding in for tries

    Team before trades is:

    Grant
    Lolo Arrow M. King
    Talakai Angus
    Cleary Hastings
    Penisini May
    Teddy Pap Hynes

    Starling Tago Ilias Schneider
    Koula Tass Edrick B. Smith

    I have 375k itb

Thoughts on Pap to Burton and I move May to WFB?

Also Edrick to Elliot? I know it leaves me with Billy Smith and Tass as red dots but it is what it is....

Would leave me 358k itb and

    Grant
    Lolo Arrow M. King
    Talakai Angus
    Cleary Hastings
    Burton Penisini
    Teddy Hynes May

    Starling Elliot Tago Ilias
    Schneider Koula B. Smith Tass

Also thoughts on maybe putting the C on Grant this week given it’ll be very wet in QLD or should I just keep it on Cleary? Halfbacks against Storm have scored poorly though this year.

Just trying to build some strength of schedule numbers into yafss.com.

These are the average fantasy points per 80 minutes against each team (lower means on average teams give away less fantasy points).

    Sharks: 42.3
    Storm: 42.6
    Raiders: 43.7
    Cowboys: 43.8
    Panthers: 44
    Eels: 45
    Tigers: 45
    Roosters: 45.3
    Titans: 45.8
    Sea Eagles: 46.3
    Knights: 46.5
    Warriors: 46.7
    Bulldogs: 46.7
    Rabbitohs: 47.9
    Broncos: 49
    Dragons: 50.6

Raiders, Rabbitohs and Broncos are interesting.

If you brought him in after the banner then you probably gotta hold and hope now. But that was a terrible case of chasing last weeks score.

Im sure he puts up some more good scores but as with any ctr there will always be 30s in there
A move from Talakai to Tohu could be on the cards next week
