Easy answer - Burton is a keeper at centre. Take the loss and get him in.
Walsh, Manu etc. may go well, or they may be a bust and then you just have to do another trade to fix it.

If Taumalolo was available I’d probably only make 1 trade but playing Ilias and Leo/Lee is not acceptable

Yikes Loomer, I thought $362k was a decent bank.

They’ve also signed Kaufusi and Kenny Bromwich… he’ll play CTR I guess?

The way Dolphins recruitment is going, they might need one of them to play in the halves.

The only legit spine player with NRL experience they’ve recruited so far is Isaako

At this point I’d say panic and buy Luke Brooks. Cos they could - and are - doing much worse.

Dolphins to be everyone's second team? They will be underdogs, based on current roster, most games so be fun to ride them into a decent team.
Gonna be a long bloody season for them if they can't find a top half and hooker and unsure where that is going to come from tbh

Ahem, I think you're forgetting Queensland Origin Star Edrick Lee, who played one game at fullback in 2018 (for 46 fantasy points no less).

But yeah, in all seriousness, that's probably not the worst shout at this point.

Has Hastings been 100% cleared to play?
Both my back up halves (Burton and Hynes) are in my starting side so would need to shuffle things around if he was a late out. Hopefully we know if he is out at the 24hr cut otherwise an hour before kick off will be to late for me to change.

Need some help deciding who to get. Don't really care about the bye rounds too much.

Thinking of trading out Tuilagi+Leo for either Matterson/Cotter and a cow, then going MKing > Tohu next week.

Who would be a better buy, Matterson or Cotter?

Actually, if I bring in Kiraz I could swap him with Hynes if Hastings is out. Would mean finding a new vc for the week.

Dolphins could do worse than making a play at some of these off contract players:

Moylan - Need an experienced half big time
Starling - Need a HOK big time and get a guy with a few years in his legs still
Taupau - Unwanted at Manly but big time experience and can surely help any young players they have in the forwards
Corey Thompson (has a Club Option so they'd have to let him go) - Always puts in work and seems a good club man
Milf - See Moylan and Bennett could get the most out of him)
    Hampton - decent utility option
Ryan Matterson - Would add a lot at 13 and have a starting position locked in week in week out rather than going from bench to starting as he is now
ACrichton Big time player who would add a heap to their forwards, could be a go based on Rooster salary cap issues spoken of lately

A combo of some of the above would see them much more competitive, fullback looks like it's going to be tough spot with them as Isaako isnt an ideal option, but still they have other headaches more pressing at this point

Apologies if any of these guys are now signed /re-signed, but looked off contract as far as I could see

FWIW, they asked this on the one episode of 100% Footy I've ever seen.

Paul Gallen said he asked Abdo and he said the Dolphins would definitely play Magic Round, and otherwise it was "luck of the draw". Which the whole panel called BS on, because as if the Broncos, Titans, Cowboys, any of the Sydney teams with big fanbases in Brisbane (Rabbitohs, Dragons come to mind), or any of the good teams (Storm, Panthers, Roosters)

Funnily enough, I reckon Warriors are safe too. Enough Kiwis in Qld to come along, surely

My guess is it'll be one of Raiders, Knights, Sea Eagles, Sharks.
