Re: 2022 ELIMINATOR
Thanks for putting this together - yes, the Bludgers lost in a tight match.
It felt a bit like watching the Knights play the Tigers.
Both strugglers. Trying for a small slice of glory. Knowing in their guts that when the big matches arrive, they'll be pumped.

Hey, I resemble that remark. Unlucky mate.
Looks like I'm going to have to be pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good to get through this week.
Knowing DK is likely to sacrifice overall glory for success in this comp, I'd better keep my trade plans quiet this week

I'm not sure if this is a compliment or an insult....I'm claiming it regardless!
Nah bad luck for Gareth.
Just like the Tigers on the verge of upsetting the mighty Cowboys, I almost felt like the video ref should have just stepped in during our match up and awarded some dubious fantasy points, to save all the punters that loaded up on Gareth beating me at $1.02 odds.

Re: 2022 ELIMINATOR
The king is dead! Hayneous Crimes (Pookus McFly) has been eliminated by Quicksand, in a scene exactly like when Musafa is dropped off the cliff by the treacherous Scar in The Lion King. Now that he's out of the eliminator, he only has Overall honours to play for.
Rhinoceroo also lost, so Hal's Haasholes (AL) is now the big dog in the Aubbs bracket, seeded 9th
Rudolf the Red Nosed Rein Dearden (Camo123) talked a big game and delivered on the talk with a big win. I strongly encourage everyone to follow his lead.

Thanks heaps for your efforts on the Eliminator and all the write ups!
Just to clarify though, I was always the Big Dog
Can’t fuggin edit a quote properly though
I’m out.

It’s definitely a compliment, everyone loves an underdog

Hayneous Crimes V Hal's HaasHoles shaping up as the match of the round, all the best for the remaining teams - remember your only one HIA away from being crowned the winner

FEATURE MATCHES
Highlighting some matchups featuring prominent forum people this week. Apologies in advance for any unintentional snubs
9 Hal's Haasholes v Lukeaye 41
Lukeayee can take pride in his performance so far, beating every opponent under the rainbow to date. But AL identifies as the Big Dog and could give him a thorough licking.
168 BroncOz v ayoo 72
OzSportMad is the biggest underdog left in the draw, maybe ynot can make a graph plotting his chances eh?
85 JM Delights v 12 Raging Green Homers
Wanted to highlight that Jumping Marlin has gained almost 50 ranks in the FOG since the seedings were set 4 weeks ago. Don't know too much about his opponent Dobbo, but he is the highest seed left in the Isaako bracket.
19 Pacey's Best v There's Something About Cleary 142
Flith has taken out a mod, a podcaster, and now aims to take out the guy who gave us the final team lists for every game until this season. He's a monster that needs to be stopped!
38 TwinTurbo v Pain Express 70
The TwinTurbo keeps motoring along - Cap'n Ranta applying the same thoughtfulness to his own team as he does to the community lineup each week. Pain is one of the big movers since this comp started - roughly halving his FOG ranking in the last month.
34 The Harry Kane Team v Pretty Pretty Pretty Good 2
It's all in a name here. Dark Knight really curbing the enthusiasm on his amazing season performance with his name, he's far better than Pretty, Pretty, Pretty Good. Meanwhile Jele will have to overcome the fact that Harry Kane never wins anything.

Great write-up Rob.
Trying to think of a comeback on your Harry Kane burn, but like Spurs' trophy cabinet, I'm coming up empty...

My head to head simulator has me at about an 84% chance of winning.

Re: 2022 ELIMINATOR
ROUND 3 RESULTS + ROUND 4 DRAW
There are two kinds of people in this game - those who captained Cleary and those who did not. I've helpfully pointed out where participants went the alt-captain, mostly to great success.
Scoring was pretty low regardless of captain choice though
MITCH AUBUSSION CONFERENCE
We-ell-ell-ell, it's The Big Sh0w! And also Rudolf the Red-Nosed Rein Dearden. Both captained Hynes and cruised through, although they might have had their opponents covered anyway.
BroncOz when for Burt-tonne43, and that was good enough to continue his run as the lowest remaining seed in the draw. Up next, one of the highest in Hal's Haasholes.

CAPTAIN ISAAKO CONFERENCE
Bish's Beasts rolls on as the highest remaining seed in this conference, after captaining Hynes. He needed the right captain as The Mighty Centurions put up the highest losing score of the round.
Spare a thought too for Doueihi or Don't We - the only non-Cleary captainer to lose, as Shizzle My Nizzle keeps his fine run of upsets alive.
Other half of the draw saw thelastdodo with an impressive Cleary captain total, and JM Delights scrape through by just 4 points in the closest tie of the week.
