Re: 2022 ELIMINATOR
HOW ARE THE ELITE EIGHT TEAMS SHAPING UP
Not going to do a deep dive on squad strength, just a quick look at red dots and remaining trades, from footystatistics.com
AUBBS QF
- The Big Sh0w has 4 red dots: Hughes, Booth, Kennedy, Matamua, and 3 trades left
- BroncoOz has 2 red dots: Mariner, Rushton, and 2 trades left
ISAAKO QF
- thelastdodo has 1 red dot: Jaiyden Hunt, and 7 (!) trades left
- Bish's Beasts has 1 red dot: Rushton, and 1 trade left
HOST QF
- The Aardvarks has 3 red dots: Hughes, Kennedy, Booth, and 2 trades left
- The Turpinators has 3 red dots: Hughes, May, Volkman, and 2 trades left
LAWRIE QF
- Sydney Eagles has 4 red dots: Mariner, Kennedy, Booth, Volkman, and 0 trades left
- Pretty Pretty Pretty Good has 2 red dots: Booth, Peoples, and 3 trades left
So all the teams in ok shape, at least for one more week. No Moses holders or Barnett owners

Re: 2022 ELIMINATOR
QUARTER FINAL RESULTS
AUBBUSSON CONFERENCE
The Big Sh0w (32) 1046-978 BroncOz (168)
There is no Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy, and the jury is still out on Santa Claus, as the fairytale run of the 168th seeded @Oz Sport Mad comes to an end, with @Monty_Burns ending the dreams of true believers everywhere. But Monty quickly shifts from being Goliath to role of David, as the clear underdog in the last 4.
CAPTAIN ISAAKO CONFERENCE
thelastdodo (37) 961-1080 Bish's Beasts (13)
@thelastdodo is extinct, not at the hands of man like most of departures from the animal kingdom, but at the hand of beasts. Bish's Beasts. The seeding of @UKJC of 13 is nothing to sneeze at, but he's been over-performing it massively since the eliminator started, and is now 4th in the FOG. Could be the sneaky favourite.
JACOB HOST CONFERENCE
The Aardvarks (3) 1070-993 The Turpinators (75)
@Aardvark Ratnick enters the top 10 overall this week. Could be the sneaky favourite.
BLAKE LAWRIE CONFERENCE
Sydney Eagles (26) 1063-1074 Pretty Pretty Pretty Good (2)
Ok so for perhaps the first time in Eliminator history all the favourites won, but this matchup at least went down to the wire. @TheRookie101 has charged up the ranks the last few weeks and fell just 11 short of taking FOG leader and 4th overall @DarkKnight down. 6 differences between the teams:
Sydney Eagles - Murray, McInnes, Cotter, Elliot, Koro, Manu
VS
Pretty Pretty Pretty Good - Angus, Lane, Fifita, Douiehi, DBrown, Aitken
In the end, the all forward bench of the Eagles couldn't quite get there against the more balanced PPPG team. But I'll always appreciate his ballsy captain Manu play in the week Cleary got injured.
SEMI FINAL DRAW
The Big Sh0w (32) v Bish's Beasts (13)
The Aardvarks (3) v Pretty Pretty Pretty Good (2)
Bottom half of the draw fully respecting the seedings.
I will have some semi-final previews later in the week.

Damn! Made it as far as I could (Sydney Eagles). That Manu risk was just a gut feeling, nothing to see here lol

v
Bish's Beasts (13) - Isaako Conference Champion
The Big Sh0w (32) - Aubusson Conference Champion
v
Bish's Beasts (13) - Isaako Conference Champion
Road to the Finals
The Big Sh0w (32)
BYE - 875pts
def Woody's Wizards (160) 943-766
def NRLFL Klones (33) 1018-900
def quicksand (65) 924-783
def Rudolf the Red-Nosed Rein Dearden (17) 1060-1013
def BroncOz (168) 1046-968
AVG SCORE: 977.7
AVG WIN MARGIN: 112.2
The Big Sh0w has never really been troubled in the eliminator, with a huge average winning margin and a narrowest victory of 43. On face value, there is some element of luck of the draw - e.g opponent quicksand beat the #1 seed the week before shitting the bed with a sub-800 - but his week-to-week scores have also been very good. This is evident from rising from 32nd in FOG at seeding time (pre-R16) up to 19th now. Underestimate at your own peril.
---------
Bish's Beasts(13)
BYE - 909pts
def Sweet n Sour Fork (116) 1056-858
def Spuddies (180) 1052-1011
def The Might Centurions (20) 934-895
def Shizzle My Nizzle (132) 1141-952
def thelastdodo (37) 1080-961
AVG SCORE: 1028.7
AVG WIN MARGIN: 117.2
Not 100% verified, but pretty sure nobody in the FOG can top Bish's scores over the duration of the eliminator, which have seen him rise from 13th to 4th in the FOG (16th overall). The closest he's come to defeat is a 39 point victory in the round of 32. With an average of 51 points more per week, the Captain Isaako conference champion is a heavy favourite to progress to the final.

The Aardvarks (3) - Host Conference Champion

Pretty Pretty Pretty Good (2) - Lawrie Conference Champion
I've been waiting over 6 weeks to say this... it's Host or Lawrie time!
Road to the Finals
The Aardvarks (3)
BYE - 951pts
def HessHaasHissHoss (126) 941-934
def my tv broke (67) 1052-898
def ClackBlocks (35) 882-765
def Pacey's Best (19) 1133-979
def The Turpinators (75) 1070-993
AVG SCORE: 1004.8
AVG WIN MARGIN: 101.8
After an early scare in his first eliminator matchup - a 7 point margin is the closest any of the final four have come to losing - The Aardvarks have sailed through with some comfortable wins, including 154pt thrashings of Fanatics royalty - the website guy and the former team lists guy. It is fitting that a Souths supporter would take out the Host conference.
---------
Pretty Pretty Pretty Good (2)
BYE - 927pts
def Suaalii you can't be serious (127) 1029-954
def Monaco (63) 1049-1015
def The Harry Kane Team (34) 859-851
def Boozecluez (18) 1108-984
def Sydney Eagles (26) 1074-1063
AVG SCORE: 1007.7
AVG WIN MARGIN: 50.4
The current FOG leader has had arguably the toughest draw of the semi-finalists - despite a similar weekly average score compared with his opponent, the average win margin is half. This includes close shaves in the round of 32 and the quarter-finals, and only a solitary 100+ win margin. Full credit to the boys for lifting up and overcoming the tough draw to make it this far.

Without a miracle from my remaining PODs Klemmer/Elliott tomorrow, I think Crichton’s performance here is going to give the victory to @Monty_Burns in our matchup.

I missed updating yesterday following Friday Night Footy (was out all day), but here's the post-Super Saturday score check
The Big Sh0w 954-791 Bish's Beasts
The Aardvarks 981-1011 Pretty Pretty Pretty Good
Guess which one of the semi-finalists does not own Angus?
HINT: he mentions it in the post above this
The other semi is Elliott v Fifita+20, would suggest the latter in the box seat.

You’ve had a pretty awesome late season surge.
Even in defeat, scoring 1000+ with no Angus is a big week

Re: 2022 ELIMINATOR
Sorry lads, meant to track this over the weekend but never got to a desktop and I find looking up other peoples scores on the app isn't good.
Current score:
Pretty Pretty Pretty Good 897 def The Big Sh0w 888
Might be a couple of minor updates at lockout to change the margin, but I think the winner is settled.
Congratulations to @DarkKnight for winning The Eliminator. A small reward in an overall brilliant season.
Commiserations to @Monty_Burns, who was seeded 32nd and has come into 13th in the FOG. So his finals appearance reflects a pretty strong late season charge.
I enjoyed running this, although it was a lot of work - because I'm an idiot who manually built a tournament bracket in a spreadsheet despite only having intermediate Excel skills.
