Rorters early bye is annoying Cheese and Teddy.

People like Cleary/Teddy you'll be holding for the year (maybe they'll go in and out around origin)

So in that sense doesn't matter too much when their non origin byes are, as you'll cop it regardless

Don't mind having a look at Guler. If given more responsibility he could be a sneaky buy.

With the same thoughts of minutes available in that pack I've gone Horse at this stage. Can see him playing the Elliot role from last year. Has a good motor and does decently with good minutes. Priced at 40 and average of 47.3 when playing 40+ minutes in his career (47.5 in 2022). Some good value there.

Nope, not this year. No bench props for me. Call it a New Year's no-more-stupid-calls resolution. And easy to do with lots of mid value around.

Ming says hi. Although he was the exception to the rule. There will be a 250k bench prop or two though who cranks out 30s and slowly gets to 400-450k... got my eye on Mooney at the Raiders but waiting for trials and TLT. Ming certainly wasn't high on anyone's radar last year until trials.

Lachlan Miller released by the Sharks, presumably going to the Knights and all our fantasy teams.

Is this official yet? Only place I can find saying it's actually happened as opposed to about to maybe happen is a Tweet by Butters.

With Miller going to the Knights, I've redone my WFBs and finally cleared out the garbage, now my team is much more balanced.

    Foxtel has mentioned it.

What is everyone realistically expecting from Hopgood? Great player puts in hard - but Matterson is going to be the big minute LOCK from R4 for sure and Hopgood (for all his potential) has never played an 80 minute game. Great player - marginal fantasy value as far as I can see. Same bucket as Gilbert

I'm expecting Hopgood to stake his claim to the big minute lock role while Matto is out, and then going forward I would think they play Matto off the bench in the middle rotation like they were last year. Hopgood is a special talent at lock and to move him from there would be lunacy.

If Hopgood killed it first 3 rounds he'd be a chance to stay on at lock surely. Arthur showed in 2021 with Papali'i that he's more versatile with his team selections than just picking a 1-17 in preseason and sticking to it no matter what. Wouldn't be surprised to see Matto stay on the BENCH

Hopgood is one of the best young talents in the game and could very easily hold the spot.

As far as fantasy prediction I see floor being a 40 average and ceiling being a 55 average that stays in my squad all year.

Worst case I think he has some decent cash generation and a playable reserve

From all reports of people who play fantasy Hopgood is already as good as Murray and will average 150 per game.
He wasn’t able to beat Sorenson for a small minute middle role at the panthers but will absolutely be better than Matterson and push him to the bench.
