I just did some re-jiggling and put Turbo into my team. The red cross doesn't look nice, but if he is available, he'll be hard to pass up. I'll have to go cheap elsewhere where I'm already cheap.

I looked at his 2021 scores again and they are so nice.

I highly recommend you look at the Fantasy Amateurs chat about Manly. They brought up some good info about Turbo and how other than 2021 he's not really been all that impressive. Caution for sure.

Also, apparently since Waqa Blake has been off with a broken arm Jared Momoisea (250k) has been training at CTR. Probably Blake will be back not too long after the start of the season but if it is going well, he would probably come back at WING perhaps. Potentially base price CTR alert.

So the obvious thing to do when your knees are made of jelly is to add weight by going Super Saiyan with the upper body...

Wondering if it's worth having a strategy where you eg. start with Fifita and sell to Tedesco after R4 in between the Roosters and Titans byes and start with Doueihi and sell to Hynes after R6 between the Sharks and Tigers byes or whether that's a ridiculously optimistic reading of how many trades you'll need to use on other things and how much control of events you actually have.

Just listened to the Turbo part. They really do sell the idea of "don't buy". Much of what they said is why I wasn't looking at him.

In 2021, I didn't buy him because he'd had hammy trouble. Many teams that had him, left me in their dust.

I can't say whether he can produce 2021 scores again, but he can produce those scores and can produce them after injury.

The guys in the podcast said, "have a look at him in round 1 and if he goes well, no worries, buy him in round 3 after his bye." Doable if I bank the cash for RD 1 for that very possibility.

It was a stellar year with an 80.2 average.

Trent Barrett was also the coach though so wouldn't read too much into it, look at the night and day that was the bulldogs attack last year. Seibs has a bad rep because of the poisoned chalice he took at the Broncos, but he's smart enough to use turbo properly

I would downgrade either Cotter or Carrigan to Erin Clark (assuming he gets MID dual and is playing middle only) and use the money to improve CTR and WFB.

Also, Sheens has apparently said that Matamua will be the starting lock, so if that ends up being true, he will be a must have (EDG 230k)

I heard it from a Discord I'm in, don't have anything concrete yet but it seemed credible. Either way we'll see what happens.

The same Discord that was talking up Sadrugu and Alamonti? They do love their magical $230k players there.

No, this is a smaller private one, not LMC (the one that's sometimes mentioned here)

Bateman has been having visa problems so it’s probably related to that, but you’d expect Bateman should be good by at least just after R1 at the latest

With a bunch of extra trades there will be room for some of this but I think it would be a mistake to expect more than 2 or 3 instances in the season where it makes sense
