Wasn’t one try from a kick? He’d have to be an 80 minute 2RF then.

Have not seen the Broncos V Cows trial yet just watching now.

Round it up/down mate, sure most on here will forgive you for being 1.5-3.2 minutes out on your predictions.

What are you thinking at hooker mate are you looking at someone like Mahoney or going up to a Grant? Or do you think starting Cheese at hooker is fine? I’m expecting Cheese to just play that 57-60mins intially.

Starting Cheese at hooker unless I pony up for Grant. Currently only way I can get Grant is by losing Haas, and then I'd have Cheese in the mids anyway.

Dunno about Cheese's exact minutes but am expecting gun scores anyway. Certainly in top four hookers for the season and maybe higher than that. Wish all the people who are doubting him would drop him.

Look at your first two games as well Cheese could score 65-70 against Dolphins and Warriors.

I think he will avg 50-52 so yeah about 10 points upside.

I have the same dilemma re trying to get Grant at hooker.

I’ve been following Talking League Pod as always and on another note they reckon Nicholls is a good pick and safer than Uto re JS.

Robbo said Cheese will be looked at to play 80, but will depend on the week. Robbo said Turpin is there as a substitute if need be. So, I'm guessing no Turpin = 80 and Turpin = 55-60.

I think the first three weeks Cheese plays 80, no matter what. Then the chooks get the bye. Good time to reassess and see what the team needs.

Best value MID MID under $680,000 with 48/50 potential?

    Elliott?
    Collins?
    Thompson?

Was set on TPJ but injury thrown another spanner

of those 3 I like Elliot, I was a bit put off by this injury cloud that stopped him from playing this week and the emergence of Kurt mann,

    Hadnt considered collins,

    Thompson might be a gem,

Tohu is 687 if you can wangle another $7k

It makes sense, it's a bit rough on Newcastle fans and some Bunnies fans might also feel aggrieved...

Definitely a POD play if he gets consistent minutes. Maybe he does get 50 odd mins with Bromwich and cheese gone

For me it's more the value available at EDG to start the season. I may not agree with all of them but you have Nat Butcher, Egan Butcher, Barnett, Wilton, Tuilagi, Schuster, Panthers EDG, Katoa, Loiero, Eels EDG who offer some sort of value vs just paying for the proven gun. Ipap should outscore them all in the short term (maybe not the Butcher brothers if they get a few attacking stats) but this crew all likely to make some cash

Looked closely at Big Nelson, could be the year he gets more consistent big minutes with the losses at the Storm but I’d have to wait and see first.

He’s not ultra busy so he needs the higher minute games to give him more chance of those 6 TB runs which bump his score up
