But last year, 17 games over 40 min for an average of 50 minutes (which is how many your projecting) for an average of 47, priced at 42, which puts him firmly in midranger territory. Won't make enough money, not a keeper. He could gun it to start the year for sure, but it seems fairly risky.

Yeah the point of it would be a punt on him getting some early attacking stats, statistically over the course of a season he isn't a keeper, but early on there's a depleted pack (meaning he gets good mins) and opponents with poor defence coming up.

The exit plan would be to sell him for whichever cheapie starts gunning it in round 3-5, or earlier if he gets himself suspended or something.
