Haven't seen a lot of mention of one J Brailey. Grant and Cheese are obvious options as a clear gun and high ownership - but looking at Brailey as a possible season keeper and enabler in HOK to go bigger in other positions

Priced at 48. Few low games on return from injury last year and then a L5 average of 57.2

2021 obviously had a massive year averaging 56.9

Not sure if I'll go with him yet but at only 1.2% ownership he could be worth a look at?

I like it mate. Personally set on Grant but if I wasn't, Brailey would be a strong consideration.

I also like the potential of Egan. Coach rates him as a top 4 hooker in the game and honestly I wouldn't push back on that call. Remembering Harry Grant was watching film of Egan to improve his own game. I think he could be in for big season ... if he stays healthy

Yeah real POD for sure. I'm high on starting with all of Cleary Hynes Murray - trying to find a way to fit in all 3. If not then at least 2 of them.

WTF is the sub editor there? Alfie Langer?

I'm guessing "Shone" comes up as a misspelling in word.

I was listening to an audiobook a while ago and the American narrator pronounced "Shone" as "Shown". I found it very offputting.

I thought calling Egan a top 8 hooker would be a big call, but assuming he means only Grant, Cook and Api are better, but Egan is a better hooker than the likes of Robson, Mahoney, Cheese, Hodgson or either Brailey seems interesting.
Maybe I need to watch more Egan 🤔

End of 22 is certainly encouraging, whether it's enough to protect forward is uncertain. But at least with Jbrailey you can be pretty confident he usually plays 80 and is pretty vital in that team.
    Late bye doesn't hurt.
If it works for your team, it's an interesting alternative if you don't mind a bit of going it alone risk

i've gone with a more balanced squad to start with mainly because i have 3 panthers cleary, hosking & kenny who have a bye rd 3 so depth will be needed...currently have tmm & doorey as 18th & 19th men. i have no dragons or manly players so the rd 1 & 2 byes don't affect me.

Its definitely a controversial take. I guess different styles come into play as well. Obviously Egan doesnt have the explosiveness as robson or cheese. Out of those though I would have Egan Robson and JBrailey in the tier below the grants of the world. I think its Egan's craftyness and ruck control/manipulation which stands out

Technically you can used 'shined' if you really want to but only if you're American and even then it sounds wrong

Broncos headshots are now uploaded in fantasy too. If Carrigan isn't in your team yet, get him in Beating Heart

Its not necessarily a position many others would take, but a coach should have confidence in his players, especially publicly.

Fully agree, dont expect many others to be with me on this its just the intricacies of his play everytime I watch him. Especially because he is out of the spotlight playing for NZ and doesn't get the media coverage of others mentioned.

Not bad I get the strategy but I wouldn’t be confident in carrying 6 guys at 250k

My advice for someone who plays a bit of overall and knows how the game works, but new to draft. Try to forget their fantasy price, and whatever notions you have about 'value' . A $250k player who scores 30 is many, many times worse than an $800k player who scores 45. In the back of your head you'll be thinking what good value Alamoti is, but in draft terms he is likely going to be a poor choice.
You know who the best players are, so just take the best player in the position you most need.

Doesn't look like you have any CTR cover (don't think you can move anyone either)

Who's going to slot into HLF if you drop Cleary? TMM?
