7c/497 is a nice welcome back. Only 4 in action tomorrow with Trbo, Trindall, HSS and Alamoti, so I'll take anything over 100 combined there.
No one putting their hand up for a trade out yet, but Uto could make way for a missed cow if he doesn't perform.
Huge start, awesome stuff.

I'm really thinking of down grading teddy to talau and playing him so I can bring in carrigan and tohu. If teddy gets a tonne I'll be pissed

Thanks mate It's mainly my guns that have played with Grant, Haas, Carrigan, Hopgood and (C)leary. Hopefully Teddy and Trbo go well and I chose the right middies. Definitely sucked me back in to fantasy for now though

forgive me but why not just play teddy this week, hope he bests his breakeven and then do the transfer next week?
admittedly i tried this with staggs to walsh and he didnt meet his breakeven, but i will just find the money elsewehere?
but you if you try it you get the thrill off the teddy against the potential spooners and then extra cash to throw at the trades, go big or go home!

just quietly, if this is the kind of fantasy big-brain I'm taking into this season, I'm predicting a return to form of spending the season in the 4-figure rankings after my surprise top 200 finish last year, just a beautifully awful example of a big call said with my whole chest that aged like milk in the desert.

I won't have the cash to bring in both next week. Probably betterto hold I guess and side ways trade during roosters byeGarethEllisismyDad wrote:

I am surprised that more didnt own him, was seen as a default inclusion at one stage in the preseason

So what's going to be an average scoring round this week. I think I'll be hitting around 850 if I'm lucky feeling that's abit below par.

Don't kick yourself too hard, your thinking was logical. I was just put off by Salman and Hosking lurking at 18, I felt like Garner is droppable if he doesn't perform, and uninspiring trial. I could have been wrong there.
For the same reason, I have skipped Teig Wilton, but I really wanted him, so will be gutted if he plays close to 80. We can't get everything right mate, bit of luck involved.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2023 Part 8 - Hopgod!
I am on 590 with 7 to play.
predictions;
Murray 60 (but likely gets 14 after the cottonwool Dr hauls him off for a face slap and fails him in HIA)
Teddy 50 (guns it for a huge half and blows a hammy when looking like heading for a banner)
BSmith 45 (starts like a bull in a China Shop and blows his ring out and only plays 50 mins)
Boyd 38 (Starts on fire putting DFifi over for a pie in the first 5 minutes, then fades into obscurity)
HSS 29 (looks brilliant fantasy relevant, but fantasy points just don't materialise)
Alamoti 31 (starts out looking like Tago from last season, but ends up looking like Staggs from last night)
Trindall 38 (see Boyd notes and insert Nikora)
So with a bit of luck I might scrape to 880, but I am not holding my breath

Have played all 3 WFBs, 2 crap CTRs to go, so maybe 30 points each there. The rest are all decent for 45+ average each.
Boyd
Tapine
Cotter
Doeuhi
Smith
Butcher
Trindall
HSS
Alamoti

I hear you Matty, me either, but what we pick them for and what they get are often dissimilar.
Anyway I think you have way more upside than my leftovers, so good luck!
I am really just hoping to fade any injuries.
I already have the Munster clusterfuck to resolve...into Doueihi likely.

So far, other than Cleary, who wasn't really picked for value, all except for Ponga who got HIAd just when he was starting to carve up, have had 10+ points of value, so feel like my choices have been on the money so far.
The trend also seems to be big minute MIDs are getting huge minutes and scoring to match, to start the season. 10 points of value on 80% of the rest would see me over 900.
