anyone seen the liv result 7-0 vs mu.....this is a fantasy lesson... in fpl most people used their wc to removed liv players like salah & he hauled in the game...reminds me of cp13 years ago he bombed then the next game went large.

Was this union or league? Only 1 try scored huh?
Cheers for the write-up MS. Ford and EKatoa are my targets, not as exciting as some names thrown around, but think I missed good value with them.

Walking it back from last nights comments slightly I do love a team written off and beating the favourites too
That was a gutsy win from a bunch of guys supposedly retiring there or journeymen
Will be interesting to see how they go as the depth isn't there and it's a long season with some old legs
They looked super fit relying on line speed and being physical in defense. If they are as fit as round 1 suggests (and it wasn't just some Bennett magic game 1) they will continue to perform well until the injuries start to stack up. Definitely don't look like wooden spooners

784 for me which is a disappointing start! Like a lot of people that Roosters performance really hurt my team. Squeezing in Teddy cost me all my depth so I needed him to go 50+. I'll be relying on week 2 bounce back factor

Lost 4 points and 1200 places overnight. Updates suck when it’s not Cleary

Mate unreal! I avoided the wildcard as it seemed every man and his dog was following the same plan. Kept Darwin, hoorah!
As a liverpool fan, damn I enjoyed that.

Good time to jump on Ford with only a 20k price rise. The way he played could get away in price quickly. I think he probably matches Garner for 100k less so that seems an easy trade

Round 1 score of 856
Garner the first out for me with a repeat performance of the 2nd trial, he was just plain terrible.
TLT/injuries will decide if I need to make another trade.

Yep Garner to Ford and Butcher to Bird (so long as Bird picked at lock as expected) seems to be my best bet this week to fix my CTR and add a bit more reliability to my team too.
Just hope it's not one of those situations where Garner and Ford swap back and forward doing well, but the cash Garner to Ford gives me probably decides it.
Got 809 this week, so not horrific, but definitely moves I can make for improvement

Curran breathing down Ford's neck mate and Garners in the panthers. I think you've answered your own question.
Egan butcher to bird is a smart play though, one of the options i'm looking at for him

multiple.scoregasms wrote:783 for me seems way off the pace but overall feel happy with my squad
The good
Kenny 47 - Played exactly the role I expected as the big minute hooker. Luke looked good coming off the bench so something to monitor but I think at worst Kenny goes to 50 minutes for 40 odd
Collins 59 - Wrapped him all preseason and he came through big time. Will get a rest at some point when the Roosters click and blow someone off the park but until then I don't see a reason he can't average 50
Katoa/Loiero - Most people have them but very happy with the roles and scores. Will continue to average around 40
The bad
Cheap centres - 40 points between HSS and Alamoti was right around where I expected. On another day HSS probably adds another 10 points to his score
TMM - Looks like he is probably priced how he will score. Not a priority trade out but will look to move to a gun WFB after some price drops
Garner - 50 minute edge isn't gonna cut it for price rises so he is firmly on the chopping block
Trade candidates
Hastings - Doesn't have the role I want so will be out the door this week
Garner - If a better option comes up I'd consider moving him on. Leaves me a little short on EDG depth if I do
TMM - Don't think I'll pull the trigger on this one but if I have some cash left over I'd consider it
Review of anti pods and watch list
Anti Pods
- Spoiler:
Khan-Pereira - Needed lots of tries in NSW cup to score not very many points. Probably loses his job to Kelly in a few weeks Spot on here
Tabuai-Fidow - Little bit of value here but think Dolphins will struggle early doors. Not many attacking stats on offer but has every chance of scooping up a loose ball for a 20 point try Got this one wrong. Looked good and seemed to play better as an actual fullback
Miller - I just don't think he is a very good player. Eye test says he was worse than Kennedy, Hynes and Dykes at the Sharks. Regularly makes the wrong decision with ball in hand stiffling attacks. Has the fantasy play style to make this comment look very silly if I'm wrong Had some bad defensive moments and poor positioning but ultimately has a game built for fantasy. Probably won't get 11 TBs every week but probably still another 6-7 points of value after this week
Ray Stone - Unsure what role he will play off the bench. Wait and see for me One that I'll consider. 35 minutes off the bench at nearly 1 ppm is more than I expected
Perham - Historically poor fantasy scorer in a team that probably doesn't make the 8. If things go wrong then Averillo or Burns could slot in comfortably Actually performed well considering how terrible the Dogs were. Not in a rush to trade him in but probably a hold for owners
Blore - Love the talent, love the player, don't like the job security HIA a bit unlucky not giving time to see how this shakes out
Ford - Too many options for edge role at the Warriors. Could easily see Barnett, Tohu, Curran, Sironen slot in Dead wrong. Considering trading him in
Watch list
- Spoiler:
Ray Stone - First off the bench and play out the game at lock. Easy trade in at <300k with low b/e See above
Barnett - Potential he plays 80 minutes split between middle and edge This didn't eventuate but still looks like getting decent minutes in the middle
Jack Hetherington - Late shuffle see Hetherington start over Fitzgibbon. Plenty of value and handy depth Scored well in his time on the field before quickly racking up the negatives. Needs a starting spot to be considered
Keppie - If he is genuinely used as a 13 rather than just swapping jerseys with JTurbo there is value Late reshuffle took him from "definitely" to "probably not"
Max King - Lot of middles missing at the Dogs and he has a serious motor. Averaged 47 minutes last year but could push it closer to 60 early. Minutes were there but points did not follow
Preston - Eye test guy with similar scenario to Stone. Would rather wait and see how this one plays out Not a priority in but would hold if I already owned him. Will be joining my team in the next few weeks
CHN - Hasn't been mentioned a lot but is about 10 points under valued when he starts. If he gets the edge spot with Whitehead middle this could be the cashie that everyone misses ala Ofa 2022 One that I am seriously considering this week for Garner. Only got a rest due to HIA. Looked busy in defense and dangerous with ball in hand
Arrow - Bunnies bench is very light with Taafe, Chee Kam, Shaq and Moale not big minute players. Could elevate and go to a 55+ gun Didn't get to see how this played out
Moale - See Arrow. Someone has to get decent minutes With Tatola and Arrow injuries didn't get to see a true rotation. Probably not going to be a great option getting <40 minutes with 2 middles down
Uto - I have a feeling that Ofa, Klemmer and Twal get the bulk of the minutes this week with Uto and Pole used for impact. Still decent value if he gets 40 minutes Haven't watched this game yet but 50 minutes will have him making plenty of cash. Twal at lock spooks me a little and Ofa only getting 30 minutes. One to consider
Tino - If he starts the year like he ended last season he is a priority in. Cut price keeper potential Stats don't paint a pretty picture but will have to watch the game and see what has changed
great post

Sounds like Foran is going to miss some time, does that mean Sexton likely comes in? Could be bad news for Boyd? (and Fifita )

Well five qld teams have won this week
Six if you're counting the Warriors as well as the Storm as Queensland.
And the only two NSW teams to win beat other NSW teams from further south than them, so those can possibly be counted as Queensland wins too.

My biggest takeaway from the first round is the new method for HIAs is gonna cause havoc for all of us across the season, so anyone with history of concussion is gonna be a no go for me as I think special focus will be on those guys in particular

what are the HIA protocols again? isnt it a mandatory stand down of 11 days post HIA failure or something?
