anyone seen the liv result 7-0 vs mu.....this is a fantasy lesson... in fpl most people used their wc to removed liv players like salah & he hauled in the game...reminds me of cp13 years ago he bombed then the next game went large.

Was this union or league? Only 1 try scored huh?

Cheers for the write-up MS. Ford and EKatoa are my targets, not as exciting as some names thrown around, but think I missed good value with them.

That was a gutsy win from a bunch of guys supposedly retiring there or journeymen
Will be interesting to see how they go as the depth isn't there and it's a long season with some old legs

They looked super fit relying on line speed and being physical in defense. If they are as fit as round 1 suggests (and it wasn't just some Bennett magic game 1) they will continue to perform well until the injuries start to stack up. Definitely don't look like wooden spooners

784 for me which is a disappointing start! Like a lot of people that Roosters performance really hurt my team. Squeezing in Teddy cost me all my depth so I needed him to go 50+. I'll be relying on week 2 bounce back factor

Mate unreal! I avoided the wildcard as it seemed every man and his dog was following the same plan. Kept Darwin, hoorah!

As a liverpool fan, damn I enjoyed that.

Good time to jump on Ford with only a 20k price rise. The way he played could get away in price quickly. I think he probably matches Garner for 100k less so that seems an easy trade

    Round 1 score of 856
Garner the first out for me with a repeat performance of the 2nd trial, he was just plain terrible.

TLT/injuries will decide if I need to make another trade.

Yep Garner to Ford and Butcher to Bird (so long as Bird picked at lock as expected) seems to be my best bet this week to fix my CTR and add a bit more reliability to my team too.
Just hope it's not one of those situations where Garner and Ford swap back and forward doing well, but the cash Garner to Ford gives me probably decides it.

Got 809 this week, so not horrific, but definitely moves I can make for improvement

Curran breathing down Ford's neck mate and Garners in the panthers. I think you've answered your own question.

Egan butcher to bird is a smart play though, one of the options i'm looking at for him

multiple.scoregasms wrote:783 for me seems way off the pace but overall feel happy with my squad

    The good
Kenny 47 - Played exactly the role I expected as the big minute hooker. Luke looked good coming off the bench so something to monitor but I think at worst Kenny goes to 50 minutes for 40 odd
Collins 59 - Wrapped him all preseason and he came through big time. Will get a rest at some point when the Roosters click and blow someone off the park but until then I don't see a reason he can't average 50
Katoa/Loiero - Most people have them but very happy with the roles and scores. Will continue to average around 40

    The bad
Cheap centres - 40 points between HSS and Alamoti was right around where I expected. On another day HSS probably adds another 10 points to his score
TMM - Looks like he is probably priced how he will score. Not a priority trade out but will look to move to a gun WFB after some price drops
Garner - 50 minute edge isn't gonna cut it for price rises so he is firmly on the chopping block

    Trade candidates
Hastings - Doesn't have the role I want so will be out the door this week
Garner - If a better option comes up I'd consider moving him on. Leaves me a little short on EDG depth if I do
TMM - Don't think I'll pull the trigger on this one but if I have some cash left over I'd consider it

Sounds like Foran is going to miss some time, does that mean Sexton likely comes in? Could be bad news for Boyd? (and Fifita Neutral )

Six if you're counting the Warriors as well as the Storm as Queensland.

And the only two NSW teams to win beat other NSW teams from further south than them, so those can possibly be counted as Queensland wins too.

My biggest takeaway from the first round is the new method for HIAs is gonna cause havoc for all of us across the season, so anyone with history of concussion is gonna be a no go for me as I think special focus will be on those guys in particular
