In the 6 games he played there he had 3 tries and 4 try assists, which I'd assume is unsustainable particularly in a team that has somehow gotten worse during the offseason.

Now not saying he's not a trade in, because who doesn't love a forward who is eligable for the centre position in fantasy but is it really that urgent of a trade in? (FWIW i've planned to get him this week for EButch)

    55 points

so if you take away half of the Tries and Try assists that's about 5 points off per game. But he also had a sin bin so the 5 points with the PPM missed thats 2 points a game added. That brings him up to 52 points. 47 points if you take away all his T and TA.

Question is If he can even go 45 though is that a postive outcome at the center spot.

My worry with him is if he loses that Lock spot (might not even have it) then you probably want to trade him out.

So is it better just going with a guy like Penisini or Holmes

Fuggin downdated from 802 > 800 > 799! Assholes, like it wasn’t sad enough. The annual grind back from the depths begins again.

Looks like Carty and MCK are the best options to make cash quick if they keep their spots

Ilias and Nicholls too assuming they maintain a 40-45 average but they'll plateau quicker and probably had their 'peak' games already

There isn't no risk (he could get moved around, he gets injured a lot, he could play less minutes, who knows what's in Hook's head) but even if you take out the games where he scores tries, you're left with a four game sample and an average of 46 - making him a discount keeper *at centre* on that small sample. You wouldn't consider him for EDG and it's not the best value in the game, but it has the potential to take away a lot of headaches.

Annoying that he plays the last game, but I think centre is the last place he'll end up. He's said himself Sullivan is 5/8th but if Hook changes his mind then Bird's average is ok there too.

Did CHN play edge for the entire game (..apart from HIA) ?

Was one I was curious on but too hard to know what Raiders would do with pack.

The other of interest is.. can't believe it.. MCK. Average of 48 for the season!

I think I'll make two trades. Walsh will be one of them.. I think. Bird also curious.

CHN edge in attack but occasionally floated to middle to defend with Whitehead going a little wider

My question - having ignored the Dragons at the end of last season - is why he was playing as an *80 minute* lock, and what he'd score like if that reduced to, say, 60.

As long as Bird isn’t playing actual CTR then his fantasy stocks are good. Given Dragons signed Suli I think his CTR days are over unless they have mass injuries. Forwards is his role now imo

I'm glad I got a hold of Penis before round 1, set and forgot I reckon. Last year it was Suli who held the fort all year.

Initially pencilling in Garner and Hastings to Ford and Tohu.

Garner played terrible in WCC and was pretty average in round 1. Hastings doesn't have the role

Ford was one of the best on field and has probably locked in the edge for a few weeks. Tohu worst case scenario paying for 50 points and getting 50 points, upside is 60 with a return to earlier scores

What would you do with Tino MS? Think it’s best to look for a bit more value in the MIDs and bank some cash?

Or hope it was just a slow start?

If I bring in Bird, I'll have HTF and Bird in the centres and Thompson as WFB/CTR cover and I never fucking want to think about that position again this season unless Manu switches to fullback or 5/8th

Was just about to say myself that I don't think I can go past Tohu and Ford this week. Assuming no TLT surprises of course

Hammer looked like a proper 1st grade fullback watching the game live, was that the impression from you blokes watching on the tele? Was sniffing around the ruck like a turbo or pappy. Liking Egan --> Hammer and Talau --> Ford. If Bird comes in I'll have to play both Warbrick and TMM

Regarding Stefano, getting 50 mins is a big plus. He can stay for now. Hopefully the scores come.

Yeah for sure that's the plan, don't fiddle unless have to in the centres. Good decision by u to start with Hammer. Seemingly.

I don't like trading guns out but I'd move him on. Minutes are down, base is down and he didn't look like big TBs or offloads

Didn’t realise Hammer was that cheap, well cheap enough.

Ford and Hammer in for Tino and Talau could be a goer

Yep considering Butcher/AKP out to Hammer/Ford also (prior to TLT anyway)
