Currently 3rd overall, 71 points behind the leader.
Not captaining Cleary hurt but atleast Haas did what I expected from him. No complaints here.

Fifita, SJ, Ford, Miller, Brailey still to come.
Outside chance of maybe taking the outright lead (not discounting pods in teams beyond 8th place).

1st place = 5441 points: Ford, SJ, Miller, Carty
    2nd place = 5372 points: Miller, AKP
4th place = 5366 points: CNK, Ford, Miller, Hopgood, Carty
5th place = 5359points: Ford, SJ, Miller, Hopgood, Carty
6th Place = 5342 points: Ford, Hopgood, Miller, Boyd,

Hope everyone’s rounds have taken a turn for the better after tonight.

    That's HUUUGE.

Munster updated to 100, but was the dreaded Thurs game where updates won't land until Tuesday.

    The slide continues.

    607/11 (captain Grant!).

Hoping I gain some ground with DFifi, TanahB, Moses, Miller, Carty and Ford.

It's been quite the slide. Onwards!

10/689, Cleary captain so to say I'm stoked is putting it lightly. I started the round at 1836 overall and am currently sitting at 1217 overall with 7 players to come - Brailey, Miller, Ford, SJ and Bird tomorrow then Hopgood and Russell on Monday.

I'm hoping this can be the round where I break into the top 1000, haven't finished a round within the top 1000 for almost three seasons (round 11, 2020).

Priced around 50 next week, should get what you pay for and WFB is a tough position. Don't need to try for value so much when it's for guns.

I'd be more inclined to get Teddy for cheaper with the knowledge that it will indeed not be too long before that are pumping out the same scores

Cheers Smile I started keeping a spreadsheet back in 2019 and since then I log my round rank, overall rank, score and captain score every week, so I can go back and see how I've gone over the years. Back then I spent almost the whole year in the top 1000 (final rank 147) but since the first half of 2020 I've never been able to break in there.

I also have a spreadsheet to plan out trades, although that one is slightly less useful now since I've been less methodical and more vibes-based with my trades this year, I've mostly made my trades based on eye test instead of raw stats which has helped me dodge some duds like HSS, Doorey and BMM.

I don't think you can say Rapana fell " into him" when Rapana is the stationary one catching the ball?

Taupau obviously didn't expect him to go to ground and while it's clear it was an accident, the careless factor is Taupau running full pelt through the point the ball is caught instead of pulling up just a little bit and getting set to make a tackle.

I think you can absolutely say Rapana fell into him when Rapana was upright just before he caught the ball and made the choice to fall with the ball when trying to catch it.

Theres ~15 penalties per game why is this one such hot debate

So then all the people that think that was a penalty are of the opinion that headclashes should be penalties right? If any contact with the head is the defenders responsibility to avoid then surely we should be penalising accidental headbutts, Flegler copped an accidental elbow and failed his HIA, surely if any forceful head contact is a penalty, Kris should’ve been penalised, yeh?

A lazy 445 fantasy points from my 5 players tonight. Really puts me in a better mood after I went 3/80 yesterday. Hopefully finish strong enough to hold rank, going to be some massive scores this week.

He fell to ground, he didn't fall into Taupau - which he's entitled to do without having to expect to wear one to the head. Taupau's knee "fell" into his head at a rate of knots due to his careless approach into the area where the player was catching the ball.

Anyway agree to disagree I guess but if it didn't happen with 3mins to go and the broncos needing to score I doubt we'd even be talking about it

Don’t be too disappointed. I captained Cleary and am 531/11. For me, it’s not just a slide, there’s a resounding thud coming at the end of it.

Does YAFSS count the captain as 2 players?

Surprised I’m 50 above par if not with 555/9(c) with Cleary and Haas the only real contributors and missing Walsh, HTF, Hosking

nah man you're just 50 above par. I'm in a similar boat at 10c/595. Keep in mind the "par score" has a few caveats which ynot can correct if I'm wrong:
    1. Only the top 1000 pre-round are included in the stats, so there can be differences depending on whether the top 1000 over performs or under performs relative to the field. Like after round 2 Hughes was in a shitload of top 1000 teams because he went big early, but didnt last long.
    2. It's only a projection based on each player number averages as a line of best fit. So perhaps with 10 players been played, I'm above average, but a bit more below average just based purely on the people who have had 10 play... Probably law of large numbers says that enough people (1000) are going to mean that variance is unlikely, but still possible.
    3. The "par line" on yafss is linear, so doesn't account for player strength when projecting from position. If I have only 40 average players left (7 to play) but the jumps on the yafss line are 50 points, I'm unlikely to reach my "projected total" purely based on who I have left.

Presuming I'm correct (particularly the last point) @ynot is it possible to add a section which includes the pure average for each number of players played? Like I'd like to go into yafss and find out what is the average score for those who have played 10 players so I can also compare to that when evaluating my round progress (if that makes sense).
