Surely Couchman plays more mins this week. Is 20 mins in the middle and then 20 mins on the edge when BMM runs out of puff too much to ask

    I look at Manu along the lines of;

If he reverts to Centre, his average over the last few years is a pretty consistent 40-45
That equates to a price of around $530-$600k (so the downside case is that you're probably paying maybe $50k overs for a likely keeper Centre who plays Centre the whole year).

But we know he will at least play 6 this week - so should offer a points top up this round.

Then, if you treated his two double-try games at 6 as outliers, his other two were against the Panthers for a 50 average - against the best defensive team in the comp over the last 2 years.

The upside is probably $70k+ if playing 6 or fullback, plus being useful in your Centre spot with an averages towards 50+? (and will be handy rounds 14-18)
Also provides good cover in the event you have Teddy and he's rested.

And then there's the character test of spending on a Manu vs say spending it on a JDR...

I don't know if Manu fits in my team, but definitely on the radar

Who's most likely to hit their BE out of EKatoa and Carrigan? I'm condidering JDB this week and Young next week, more than likely for those 2. Question is who goes first...

I see the appeal, don't think it’s a must trade. It’s a fun trade for me, but I don't think I will do it. Walker is probably back in a week or two anyway.
If Walkers dropped what’s the point of 1 or 2 weeks away?

Is that really long enough to work on whatever he needs to work on. Feels like it has to be longer or no point at all? Just seems weird

From what I was reading the days of Keary and Walker playing together in the halves are over... Then Manu almost becomes a must have

There seemed to be a lot of Rumour in the pre-season about Manu training and potentially starting the season at five-eighth - it sounded like it was at the expense of Keary at that time.
I don't buy much into pre-season rumours, but I suspect that there are very few clubs that would play Manu at Centre if they were able to sign him.

It feels like Manu "evolving" into a pure Fullback or Five-eighth is something quite possible, whether that's this year, who knows - it's a gamble, but like MTB said, he's a fun player to own/watch at the least

You and I both know what he is possible of. I'm getting the vibe just to get him back but even reverting back to centre, it's 600K for an elite centre keeper, so it's not a burnt trade IMO. This time he doesn't get traded out though. Very Happy

I think I'm with ya mate, could go Matto for the exact same price and some better mid cover but DFifi will just be more enjoyable to watch when he crashes over for a hatty against the dolphins this week.

I'm probably just finding reasons to fit the conclusion that I want Laughing

In reality, I just want those owning-Manu-good-feels back - yeah, no sell this time

I feel even if he gets moved back to CTR in a couple weeks or so, he's still a gun centre and arguably someone you want in your team end of the year anyway

as a H2H player sitting on top of the table with only a few top teams in the league I'm basically just building for those final 3 games.

is Manu someone that I want in that final squad to pair with Bird?

I was wondering if Manu at 5/8 took away from Teddy.

In four games, Teddy got 53, 53, 48, 59. About average I guess.

If Fifita is running at Katoa this week that could be fkn deadly for both players...

Anyone know if Katoa will be defending Fifita?

Might chuck Katoa in the loop over Host
