Yeah, I think people are trying to manufacture a cow. Dunster's 20 points in Rnd 13 aren't going to be worth it, would rather run short on that bye but make more money with a less bye-friendly cow, or just save trades.

    I agree fully.

I’m going Carty to Manu. I have Alamoti and could get Host (feels like a chasing move) he plays round 13 and 14 but I’m feeling a bit iffy on Host he probs makes 100k he will have 40 scores in him but also scores around 30. I think he plays around 65mins. Maybe just hold Alamoti and await a better cow?

THE South Sydney Rabbitohs are on the verge of landing one of the biggest recruitment coups in recent seasons in the form of Canberra Raiders star Jack Wighton.

Fox League has learned Wighton is expected to travel to Sydney on Friday to finalise what is tipped to be a four-year deal with South Sydney until the end of 2027.

The contract is expected to be worth around the $3.4 million mark over four seasons – which is $1 million less than the $4.4 million deal the Raiders have tabled.

Anyway, I'm currently set on only doing one trade: Katoa to JDB, and even that is marginal.

Quite a lot of FOMO on Manu though. Can do Alamoti and Warbrick to Manu and a 230k but not doing it with Dunster. If Skelton suits up on Saturday might pull the trigger but seems profligate with Warbrick in particular probably having more cash to make. It would effectively make Loiero my 18th man though, which would be a nice position to be in, given I'll have bye players for a few weeks with Knights/Dolphins/Warriors

Won’t happen mate Wighton is coming to win a premiership that’s his goal. He will play left centre. And if injuries happen can play 1, 6 and 7. Cody will retire after season 2025 so Wighton could then move to 6.

But I would say something will have to give we probs lose a good player after 2024. Sacrifices will have to be made. Keep in mind we signed no players for this season.

I’m excited make it happen Souths.

I’m happy for ya mate you’re braining it absolute gun side. I’m in awe just reading it tbh it’s like that with a few of the others on here right up there too you may not think it but you are geniuses at this game.

    Your squad depth is insane.

Where does he play? They just gave Latrell and Cody a boatload of money, if Ilias is supposed to make way, a Walker-Wighton halves partnership sounds like a recipe for killing coaches and surely they aren’t paying him $800k to stick him in the centres.

Tass is a good centre as well, and Campbell Graham is obviously class. Wighton could probably do a job in the second row, but doubt he's signing up for that. Seems like roster mismanagement....

Yeah right. Isn’t there meant to be a rule where players a given a value and the nrl won’t let them sign for less? A guy who’s been offered 1.1million playing centre for 750k seems sus to me.

If only that was remotely likely. You really do need to watch less of your fantasy players and more footy.

I thought that after I posted, I think I’d prefer Graham over Wighton in the centres and they’re probably paying him less, and they’re getting crazy value for money out of Tass to be paying out the nose for a replacement, makes no sense to back up the truck for someone they don’t need when their forward depth is paper thin.

Yeah I’m not keen on Dunster at all, but will definitely take a punt on Skelton or Oloapu. From what I’ve heard/seen he’s a metre eater which the Dogs need with no Kiraz/Fox. Should find out Friday after captains runs if either are getting a start. Team looks great, I’m on Manu too. Hoping he’s a bit of a POD with the top ranked teams so I can break into the top 100 this week.
