If your worried about minutes not points just grab Sironen, Bird and Hoffman. They all scored well last week as well so it's a move that's bound to pay off.Sik wrote:Trade rage... lol
I was expecting more minutes. I know he scored 60+, but that did include a try... Hes not on my immediate hit list, but I would much prefer 80min 2nd rowers...

I was tempted to trade out Jroberts but if hes scoring 27 doing fuck all im pretty happy with that.
You mean after lockout is over right? Or is there a Fantasy glitch allowing such things?

You may joke but after not running with Sironen I am keeping an eye on him. I think this is his year, I could be wrong however.Krump wrote:03.13.2016

He's certainly doing better than I expected but not worth the trade, Grant will still make money and you can't get every single cow that pops up.Mighty Fishes wrote:Since I wont be needing to play Grant any more do you think it'd be worth it to trade him to Gavet?

I hope your right, certainly from a footy perspective anyway. I held the faith with him for a long time and just can't be fucked anymore.Bren wrote:

I got quite a few issues with my line up
Fergs (now that he is back in ctr)
Aubbs (He is playing 80 but just not getting the points we expected)
Merrin (looks lazy in defense, he is probably gonna be one of my first trades next week to Graham)
Cooper (same as Merrin, but he is yet to play this week)
LAM (not getting minutes, but is yet to play)
Gordon (I should of went with my gut on this one and skipped him)
-I don't think Aubo is too concerning. If you're playing him in your CTR's then really there's nobody that stands out as a miles better scorer. I expected 40's at least but 37 will do fine for me in the CTR's.
-Fergo shifting back will increase his tackle count and maybe get a few more tries so it'll probably even out.
-I have Merrin and he is a big concern, trading after 2 weeks seems pointless but he's become complacent now he's set in life. Will give him 1-2 more weeks and then he's out.
-I think Flash will come good but if you can trade him for someone better by all means do it.
No idea what to do with the Dragons players, you should draw your conclusion after a few games and then assess where you have to fix your team.

Of course that's the only trade I was considering when lock out is over.

Yeah that's true. I have other thing I could be dealing with like Feeney and Vinnie L (why the fuck would you waste two interchanges on a player for 3mins?)

So this week Im thinking Cody Walker in, not sure JNik or Taylor out. Or should I save the trade and just see this as a missed opportunity?
Im also looking at Rochow or Evans to either Surgess or Graham? Thoughts? Will Grahams minutes reduce once the Bulldogs can play a game with a full bench and no injuries?

J. Saifiti was literally a last minute change from Grant as a reserve & played good minutes & looks very promising.
I will be shocked if Saifiti starts next week. He was part of the posse of four (Uate, Gagai & Hodkinson) who kept being caught out by that Rabbitoh's left side. They were getting 2 and 3 man overlaps every time they ran a block/decoy play towards that Knights right hand defensive edge. Hence why Saifiti was moved to the left hand side in the 2nd half.
I severely doubt we will see Saifiti in the starting side come TLT. In saying that, Newcastle's depth at the moment is quite shocking so maybe it's just a case of persist and learn from your mistakes.

-Yeah Aubbs is doing as expected, was just hoping he could match last years average when starting backrow of mid 40s
-Fergs looked good, but the missed tackles was a concern. I haven't kept much track of him previously, is it usually so high? That is matai type figures.
-Flash, I fell for his trap 2 years running. But the signs are there with him looming on the inside, might give him sometime.
-Merrin, like you he is my biggest concern, I know you shouldn't trade guns, but with those bench forwards and his work rate in defense, I am looking at a downgrade to jturbo next week if he can produce in lock. Only concern with him is Lawrence on the bench, if he goes good I can see him getting decent minutes and they have to come from somewhere.

I think Aubbs is worth sticking with as well... 35-40 isnt a bad score for a CTR

if you are after 80 minute backrowers you should have never picked him then. has no history of being an 80 minute player and there was nothing to suggest he would become one. solid average so far for the two games, looks involved. puts up similar minutes to last year so exactly what you should expect from him

I'm starting to think that Walker may end up staying around when Arey is back and Keary gets the arse. He'll cost a lot more this week but could still be a good buy

I don't know about Ferguson, just had a brief look at a few stats from last year and he missed the usual 1-2 tackles a game on average but missed 4 on a few occasions too. He'll suffice for now I'd say if you have bigger problems.
I have a soft spot for Flash when I picked him for some strange reason as a POD to replace Tedesco in 2014. Even though Cronulla were in dire straits he pretty much saved my team and got one monster score against the Cowboys. I picked him at the start of 2015 and he opened the year with a 40+ before I had to trade him out because he had to share. For that reason I'm staying with him because he's always delivered for me when I wanted him to.
Only problem trading out Merrin for me is I don't have enough money to get Mannering and if I traded him out for Graham I'd need to shift V Leuluai (Only keeping him for these scenarios) to 2RF and play Paul Carter or J Saifiti as a starting 2nd rower until I can patch things up elsewhere. Carter or Saifiti would be a reserve anyway but you wouldn't want to rely on them as a starter if you could help it.

So would you ditch JNik or Taylor? Keep JNik purely because he is DPP?
