    Cheers big ears

I don’t trust Crossland. Sorry phoenix

Tupouniua is an interesting one. Would make a lot of sense for the butcher boys to move back into the middle rotation and have angus beef and silly sitili back starting 2nd row. Timing probably more the thing

    Have Bula hoop thankfully

Am I ready to be burnt by billy smith again? 🤢

i am aware all of these are cluching, but maybe you need some of these positional ones for the bye

Can go a week early on VTW.

Billy Smith looks to have a CTR spot locked in.

They look to be the best of the cash cows that are making money the next few weeks.

Croker is a good shout. Any manly fans able to explain his drop in output?

Also does anyone other than Matt (beautiful optimist that he is) think that VTW is going to keep his spot? Any update on brenko?

Brenko is due to return in rd12, but Aitken also picked up a hamstring complaint, so I would expect him to get at least 1 more crack, maybe 2 or 3 if they want to give these guys enough time to fully recover.

It doesn't sound like he'll keep his spot in a fully-fit backline, but how often are backlines fully fit? And he's probably next man up now, with cash to make whenever he starts. It's a risky play, but I might make it. Trade decision is basically Ford to Garrick or Ford & Hammer to DBrown & VTW. Veering to the latter. Perfect time of the season for a Zac Cini decision, isn't it?

The vagueness of the Ford injury report ("something to do with his head" according to Webster, delayed concussion according to others) plus the fact he was knocked out earlier in the season is probably the deciding factor in trading a guy I'd otherwise want to hold. Don't want to keep him these next two weeks only for him to be out in R13 as well.

Hmm, was leaning towards hold. But good points.

If it wasn't for the bye this week, I think a lot of us would have traded Te Whare last week.

If he is named next week that is good enough for me. Brenko Lee is not necessarily a guy I'd expect to have a guaranteed position on his return from injury

I have I Kat, Lemu on the bye and have Couch and Soni too. I own Ford as well like all of us.

Can field 17 this week but that’s with Bula and AJ in my last two interchange spots they play the same game. Not sure I can get away with playing both….

I’m thinking Murray to Hopgood. Ford to a Horse or Tapine. Do we think there is a chance Horse plays origin. I’m thinking he will be 19th man. And it’s Ricky too we never know what he will do.

Is it worth making a 3rd trade and going Soni or Couch to Luki. I don’t really have any edges for round 13. I’m still a bit nervous on Luki though. Or would you wait hold Soni and play both Bula and AJ this week and reassess next week on Luki, Olapau and Te Whare etc?……

Feels really tricky this week. What’d you guys reckon?

Do you know what is happening with Mann? Currently listed as indefinite.

Was listening to ABC Grandstand on the weekend and they did a good interview with Horse. He said he hasn't received a call or anything from Billy. No sure what that means in the scheme of selection.

Anyway, qld forwards: Collins, Tino, Kaufusi, Capewell, Carrigan, Fifita, Papalii (I think they give him his swansong), Cotter ... also got origins caps in Arrow, MoFo, Gilbert ... can't see Horse forcing his way in.

Sounds like Schuster will come back into the starting side for Manly at the expense of Johns.

Is there a world where Ponga is good? It would fit my narrative so well if Ponga could be good.

I figure if he scores around 50 he will still be sub 500k in R14 and a good pickup, and if he scores around 40 he probably doesn’t make enough money for it to be worth it anyway. Two game watch for my mind.

There are 4 risks with Ponga:
    1. He is playing shit
    2. Likely still gets selected for Origin
    3. Next HIA he is out for weeks
    4. Is prone to other injuries

Its the Ponga Paradox: if he plays shit enough to miss Origin you don’t want him, but if he plays well enough for you to want him he makes Origin

The problem is that I need a WFB (looking at Drinkwater and Garrick) but Ponga lets me turn Ford>Hopgood. We force bad trades to make good ones in this game, right?

He has two games to show he's anywhere near Origin this year. If form means *anything*, for mine, he would have to be sensational in both of them (rather than in a big game a year ago) to deserve selection ahead of Walsh.

In a perfect world, he has some lacklustre games but posts a couple of tradesman Fantasy 30s, misses Origin and explodes in response.
