Considering making a final swap of brbo -> Koula which would give me 12 this week, as well as a third WFB for 16. Other centres I currently have are Billy Smith, Manu and Bird.

Could someone please help with some sound advise with if I should just roll with 11, or make the 4th trade for 12 or left field play, go Brbo -> VTW if he's named?

Sorry for the specific question, but I'm at ends and off on a flight at 3am and likely out of action for the next day or so

    Thanks in advance <3

Another thing I noticed this morning is that with Drinkwater on the bye in round 15, Koula comes in handy that week too if that helps your thinking. I brought him in last week, I figured he gives me a centre in rd12, a wfb in 13, a centre in rd16 and yeah, figured out today, might help in rd15 too. Burbo's pretty well dead right? Not a bad idea, although it will suck up a fair bit of coin you could use elsewhere.

Hey bro, thanks for the reply. I have Walsh/Ponga/Teddy/Bula for WFB in 15, as well as Manu DPP if need be. Koula would help for 16, allowing Ponga to go into the halves. You're spot on though, the 200k uplift in cost could really be utilised elsewhere rather than a 4th CTR.. Koula seems a pretty steady scorer though and always looks lively enough

With Matto, RCG and Lane out till at least Round 16. Does that give Hopgood, Ofa and Carty long enough to be useful? Ideally they would all play big parts in both byes but hard to know these days

Hmm, hadn't thought about Koula. As someone looking for alternatives for my Miller trade, ponga I don't really want him. Thanks both for bringing that suggestion up. Something to ponder. Also covers Drinkwater too as mentioned.

On this note it's good to have a think about who the cheapest players are that could possibly end up keepers

Aside from the WFBs (Teddy, Turbo, Ponga), I think you are looking at the likes of Elliott, Koroisau, JFH, Taumalolo

If you are right on Elliott he could go close to the big guns for 300k cheaper

Love this. Add angus beef to the list. Deciding on whether I bring in hopgood this week or waiting for angus

    Maybe Kiraz too

Has me in knots as a mostly H2H player who doesn’t want to let go of his decent rank either. Something about eating cake..

Sometimes I think Gutho is the answer but then end up going with no WFBs.

Would be royally stuffed if Manu and Teddy aren’t back and rested for Round 14 haha

CNK would be the play for me to cover R14 if Ted doesn't back up, if I go Ponga I'm looking at back 3 of Ted, Bula, Drinkwater for R14.

CNK would cover Ted not backing up so it's a genuine consideration for me.

Have you got Drinkwater mate or considered him?

my tv broke wrote:Hey all, been working on a community-driven 'match notes' section for the website today.

If you load up any match, beside the interchange timeline there is a 'match notes' section.

The general idea is that anyone can add a note/comment, eg X player went down injured and this is why Y player got bigger minutes, or there was a position swap at kick off eg whitehead named at lock but actually played edge, etc.

There is the option to tag the relevant players and add a 'type' ie what it relates to.

Its reasonably primitive at the moment. Any new notes get added as 'pending', you can still see any pending notes by clicking on the button. Once I approve them they just get shown as normal.

The aim is to build this out a bit so that when you are looking at a players profile, it will add this info next to the relevant game (this is where the tagging comes in) so you can see at a glance WHY a player only got 20 mins that week/whatever.

Will see how it goes I guess... Might be fun/useful to chuck in notes as relevant events happen while watching live games/etc.
Dont lie mate it’s been there behind the scenes the whole time with the good oil.

In all honesty this is a brilliant addition and you’re a legend. Go get yourself another beer

I’m somewhat put off by WFBs that aren’t named Teddy, Turbo, Ponga and Edwards and of those Turbo and Ponga give me the shits with their chequered health issues. Drinkwater has been a consideration and a bit easier to cover the Round 15 bye.

My WFBs at the moment after trades are Teddy, Manu, Bula and Perham. So if Teddy is rested i at least don’t have to trade someone in. It’s all a bit of a mess really.

CNK I’d never really thought of as I don’t think I’d play him very often except in a loop

Currently my latest plan hinge on Nikorima loop this week (aiming for 40+ as good), thinking with 11 this week after 2 trades (short 2 WFB)

Nikorima bad score - Frizell to Moses as 3rd trade

Nikorima good score Frizell to Drinkwater for 2nd WFB this week. Frees up further cash on top of 256k ITB which I’m contemplating Fifita in next week (in addition to IKatoa to Oloapu and just short of Loiero to Bateman)

I'm not confident in a good KNik score, don't think his game will suit the Full Back role, but any trades that involve getting Fifita in are only going to be good for your team.

He's the one guy I am desperate to get in but trying to time it right.

Ponga and Turbo *could* be final team WFBs, CNK will not. If you already have Teddy and Manu, who  *should* be final team WFBs, then I like holding one more round for Edwards, who is a final team WFB- no asterisks necessary.

This may have been talked about already but just read Luken's Facebook post about how awesome our guys are doing in the ranks and promoting the site, then this Butters guy going absolutely ballistic about it.

It was a great laugh and I have to say Luken wound him up like a yoyo beautifully.

The guy needs to get some thick skin and realise he ain't that special.

Personally I spend a lot of time on the road and enjoy all the various podcasts, Talking League, Amateurs, Jaime Brown, Boom Bust and OTL, and all of them give credit to the other podcasts and places like here.

But if I need any extra help this is the place to be for advice and then make your own decisions.

Thank you guys for being so very accommodating and helpful.
