I’d much rather punt on Ponga at 420k than Edwards at 720k in that rollercoaster of a position. All of this only really matters if Ponga stays at fullback, any move back to the halves and he’s a trade

I should probably have disclaimered that I gave Teddy and Manu, and am bringing in Ponga Laugh 3 . I will still likely pick up Edwards next round though. He’s even more involved in the Panthers attack this year and he’s always threatening for a huge fantasy score. Can’t beat a bargain buy though!

I like your point, I was thinking similar

I already have Ted Manu Drinky Bula

So Ponga is a gamble but is a surplus gamble

I probably want to fit Edwards or Trell in there somewhere instead

Ponga is that cheap that the risk is minimized, but the potential payoff is massive

Potential 50 avg player priced at low 30s

Career average 54 at FB.. yeah.. I could go Host to him. Host was going to be a trade out at some stage anyway. If I do, then I trot out with this for R13

    Cook
    JDB Horse Harris
    Fifita Hopgood
    SJ Niko
    Bird Lemmy
    Teddy Drinky Ponga

    Cleary Haas Boyd Manu
    Bula Loiero HEdwards Oloapu

Keep in mind I have 8 trades left (after making 4 which includes that Ponga one)

Yeah, I don't have a tracker but do talk through my trade ideas on here.

Think I'm gonna max trade this week, including Haas. Hard to keep four Origin players through the bye. Was going to flip Ted before last week, but now doing Haas makes more sense.

    Cheese/iKatoa/Miller/Haas to Ponga/Drinkwater/Tatola/Ford

Would have 610k(!) in the bank and ten trades to go Burbo to Cook next week, then run Cook/Robson through the byes/season. Technically, set up to get through the bye period fielding 12 in the big byes and 18 in the small byes using only four trades with six spares, but that's not going to happen... gives a bit of a cushion for injuries though.

    R13

    Robson
    JDB Hors Tatola
    Hopgood Ford
    SJ DBrown
    Bird Lemu
    Ponga Drinkwater x

    R14 (probable)

    Cook
    JDB Hors Tatola
    Difita iPap
    Cleary SJ
    Bird Lemu
    Ted Drinkwater Bula

    Robson Preston Ford Manu
    Oloapu (Hopgood DBrown Ponga)

So when it comes to the last 3 rounds and we still have 5 fanatics at the top of the rankings, are you guys still going to share your trades? Wink

    Wow he actually responded.

TLDR: The site doesn't work sometimes, and they check some but not all of the players in case the algorithm goes funny.  Also Butters is hiring someone so he doesn't have to work 60 hours a week on this thing.  Manually inputting expected player minutes each week? Surprised he kept that up as long as he did.
Surprised Milchy agreed to work for him tbh.

    Of course   :pinocchio:

Could go for the 5 way tie and share the top prize, sync up the squads and make it an impromptu meetup for Magic Round next season.

Although you are assuming any of us have trades left at that point to actually be able to do anything with our squads. Might be some desperation Captain selections to try close the gap.

I notice one of the 'note types' in footystats s "coach madness"

So that category is just for whatever shenanigans Hook did at the Dragons, right?

Seen plenty of Haas out chat which is cool I don’t own him at all. Just wondering if same goes for Carrigan?

I’m assuming his minutes will be managed but have no proof of that. He has a pretty low BE compared to his average so even if he does play less minutes he could still score 40 odd and make a bit more cash and contribute.

I also have Tino in the same boat but I think I’m happy to let him go this week for Hoppy

    Pretty much.

Another example would be Josh Hoffman at 6, but as i type this, i realise that was also Hook

Wouldn't mind making a 4th trade this week just to chase the monthly but I am short 1 x edge and 2 x WFB and there are no moves to fill those that aren't totally bonkers.

Looking ahead to r16 it's going to be a tough one, currently have no players from Sea Eagles, Panthers, Cowboys, Sharks or Storm.
