Also considering lewie brown in the centres, my centres are a mess and could use a consistant 35-45pt player there. Hate wasting trades there so would he be effected by buhrer when he comes back?

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
Can't believe a few people are trading out DCE on account of he looks bad and had a slow start. I mean do they know he's outscored Thurston so far. He's a completely different style of player both in the game and fantasy but what about anyone who's ever started with Shaun Johnson before.
Last year I started with SJ and guy could barely reach 40 for the first month and a half and dropped over 100k at one point. Never once did I think about trading him out and soon enough in came those back to back 90's scores and I had to just deal with the fact I paid premium price for him.
DCE's a proven gun in the past and it's quite presumptuous to think that he won't come good when Manly start to improve. I mean I don't know if I really want to try and talk anyone out of the trade just so I can see the results of what happens when he does comes good and enjoy the reactions of whoever dumped him but I just thought it was worth addressing.

Using your idea Shanbon re DCE:
Slater out - Tedesco in
DCE out - C.Walker in.
Leaves 172k

I think it's worth considering purely because right now Walker looks like the best cash cow available - it also frees up a lot of cash to fix mistakes over the next few rounds and god knows we've all got a few (Henry, Green, Leuluai, possibly Feeney, etc.). I personally wouldn't do it but I don't think it's the worst move.

He wont be up against Moses every week but they will probably do the same this week with Maloney. Two of the best miss tacklers in the NRLShanbon wrote:Did Tapau just go off because it was his old team though? The previous week he didnt look like busting the line, looked unfit and needed 3 breaks.

If i make my two trades it results in 172k in the kitty. Which would be the 3rd person in the last few pages to have the same remaining amount.
Spooky !

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
Have had a pretty decent start (ranked 3,957th) and would want to avoid trading as much as possible. Only made the 1 trade in Round 2 and will probably make 2 this round.
I'm thinking:
Peats -> CWalker (via JNiko)
Gutherson -> Croker
My CTR pairing for the weekend was Gutherson and Scott (who was a last minute addition) so thinking I needed to upgrade that position and just going to run light in HOK for a few weeks.
Garvey
Bromwich, Fifita (JDB)
Surgess, Guerra, Gillett (Rochow, J Safiti)
DCE, Hastings (Walker)
Croker, Scott
Barba, Tedesco, Mansour
JNiko, ATaylor, Feeney, Mitchell + 4 NPR
143k in the bank.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
In regards to trading DCE.
I personally have him and I dont have C.Walker. Yes he hasn't been performing to what everyone expected. But is there currently a 'Gun' half that is performing? Norman got big kick metres last week, but Foran wasn't kicking. Mbye got a huge score, but scored 2 tries and an assist. JT is averaging less than DCE. Hunt is marginally better. SJ scored well round 1, but struggled round 2.
So I think C.Walker will make you cash in the short term, but you say you'll trade in a 'Gun'? But who? They're all 'under performing'.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
Now DCE out? Wowsers
He scored 50 with almost zero attacking stats R1
Rabs have demolished 2 winless teams, they have scored 48 and 42 points in 2 games of course your half is going to score well, don't get me wrong he has very decent base stats from tackling and a few from KM but when the Rabs play tougher opposition expect a few 30s
I can see the appeal of getting him in for Taylor or JNiko to make cash quicker but for DCE is pure madness!

Not worried that if he has a bad game that Auva'a replaced him and his score are inflated by tries?

Yes but i have Auva'a as well and hunts be is low enough he wont lose cash on a couple of bad games.Honeysett wrote:

Any other suggestions in the centres? There's not really any certainty there and i rather take a low cost risk.
I don't mind having a 'handcuff'

Mbye also scored 53 in rd1 mostly from what I would consider base stats for a half. I think he's the one who has seen the benefit of a change in role more than some of the others we thought might.
To be fair, I don't have DCE - I floated the idea a few weeks back that I didn't think he'd see the big bump in scores and was pretty roundly shot down. All the talk was that he averages 70+ without Foran, but that was mostly in games where a 2rf was playing 5/8. When partnered by littlejohn and Lyon his averages were no better (from memory a bit worse) than his 2015 average.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
So, did a little bit of research on Gagai at FB thanks to Milchy's 2015 stuff. Unless I'm reading it wrong, he played FB for the following rds and scores (I think these are supercoach)
13 - 80
12-107
11 - 58
10 -52
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but those 50's aren't particularly good scores for supercoach are they (something like the equivalent of a 30 in NRL?). I know its not the best to go off but just trying to get a feel for some of these players. I think going by that he's not worth the gamble.
