FWIW, I'd go with B Lawrence over Gavet. More expensive yes, but 40 points is better than 30 (Or whatever Gavet is getting)

Can Blaw maintain 40 points in 40 minutes though? I'd say 35 is more reasonable which is what Gavet is nearing so the price difference counteracts that?

A little help with my remaining trade for the week? - please - backs are a mess. Team is

    Granville, Parcell
    Surges, Packer, Evans, Thaiday
Parker, Lowe, LBrown, L Fitzgibbon, Carter, V Leuluai
    Bunt, CWalker, Taylor, JNik
    Croker, DWalker, R Kennar, Cheekam
    Coote, Ferguson, Mitchell, Copley, Eden.

    only $34K in the bank.
    Thinking:
Thaiday>Gavet, Jsafiti, KTurner, or BLaw. Just cautious of having too many from Manly, Souths or Rooters
    OR
Kennar>Scott. So I can get a cow to produce (I got duped with Kennar's potential start in R1)
    I appreciate your thoughts.

I'd stick with the Thaiday to Gavet trade. Then probably do the Brown to Centre Walker to Tapau or if you want a POD go Papali. I think next week you need to look at adding a 4th high scoring 2ndrower, where you get the cash im not sure.

Maybe a tad closer to solving this weeks dilemma...cows or potential gun and a cow

    Taupau...again

Ideally I want Gavet and Taupau but I can't afford both

quick look over the stats for Kapow has

2015 avg 50....base stats tackles 27 RM 110 base stat avg 38 points

2016 avg 73....base stats tackles 36 RM 122 base stat avg 48 points

a 10 point increase in base stats for Kapow in admittedly a shit sample size

he only made more than 32 tackles (his R2 count) 5 times in all his games last year

he won't run all over teams like he did Moses, but he did score 54 against a tough dogs team which is 4 points above his 2015 season avg

    .............

    after this weekend
Kapow will be just over $500,000
Gavet will likely be just under $200,000
Scott will likely be around $145,000
LAM will likely be around $335,000
Gordon will likely be around $280,000

should I be more concerned about getting the faster rising Gavet this week over Kapow? or get Kapow this week get a potentially bigger score and pay a higher premium for Gavet/Blaw next weekend?

    possible trades

    CWN - Gavet
    Green - Scott

    $81,000 in the bank

    or

    LAM - Taupau
    Gordon - Scott

    $88,000 in the bank

I definitely think Green needs to be moved on asap. Think youd be better off keeping Gordon, Broncos, Cowboys and Dogs is a hellish start for the eels surely things will look rosier for scoring points after that.
    So id go 1st option

Decided to fix some poor cows this week.

    Green > Scott
Leiluai > Gavet/BLaw, heading towards Gavet due to job security more than anything, already part of a full strength team now?

HOK: I don't think you should change anything here. Granville hasn't scored too great, but his scores should be increasing. While Garvey is a good option you could end up having him for only two weeks and Parcell still has money to make you considering his BE of 9.
FRF: Thaiday not making many points off the bench and looks to drop in price again isn't good. Evans for mine is a trade as well but should he isn't losing you any cash.
2RF: Fitzgibbon did alright last week, and should make some cash. But I doubt it will be enough to warrant his pick, unless he can hold his spot down long term. L. Brown is a great option when he is at CTR outside of that I think he is solid as a 2RF.
HLF: No Hastings, that is a big shock. Did you just happen to miss the boat there?
CTR: Croker is a long term season keeper, however I don't think D. Walker is a great option. He should score okay but for his price you could look at someone different. Although you have Kennar and Chee-Kam it does look like you missed the B. Henry and N. Green bullets.
WFB: Ferguson the only really pressing concern at the moment for you.

Overall:  Your squad is okay, but it seems like you pressed up with too many of the Rookies/Cheapies that have flopped thus far, or lacked job security. However you should hopefully be able to come back from that. While you backs, particularly the reserves are a mess I would shift your focus elsewhere and strengthen your team in the FRF/2RF and HOK which are key positions.

    Suggestions:

Thaiday is bleeding cash so he definitely needs to be shipped out. Gavet has a 36 point difference than his BE (Average minus BE). J. Saifiti 40 point difference, K. Turner 33 point difference, B. Lawrence 32 point difference. Now keep in mind that the sample size is small, just 2 games (Only 1 for Lawrence) So it shouldn't sway you too much. Also you definitely need to pay attention to job security as you already have 3 guys not playing this week and Eden potential out next week. I would personally lean towards J. Gavet if Matulino is out, or K. Turner if you are after a solid scorer who can make cash. Note Turner is an injury risk and J. Saifiti does look promising but with T. Sims returning soon I would aim for one of the other 2 guys.

Dylan Walker now this may seem strange because he does have potential to post up solid scores, but if you trade him out and shift L. Brown down to CTR it opens up the possibility to pick up someone like K. Turner as well. You could also move S. Burgess into the 2RF it opens up a lot more possibilities. Such as B. Lawrence, and if you did decide to bring Gavet in you could look at another gun such as J. Graham, J. Trbojevic and the likes, or as mentioned you can bring in someone making cash as well and bank more cash to help upgrade those dead positions or the HOK position in a few weeks when Parcell tops out and Peats returns.

    Anyway tl;dr trade ideas..

    S. Thaiday -> J. Gavet
    D. Walker -> B. Lawrence (Via. L. Brown to CTR and S. Burgess to 2RF)

Leaves you with $315 000 and it drops two guys losing you cash and brings two guys making you cash in. Then you focus on HOK or reassess your dead cash cows.

    Well, I did it -
    JRey -> Norman
    LAM -> Croker (Via Green)
I've got the rest of the day to chicken out I guess. Looking at my team really doesn't inspire the same confidence I started the year with and I'm going to not only be missing cows but losing money on Green the dud but I might as well try something.

    Will be running out this

    Smith (C)
Surgess, Vaughan, Mataora (R) Evans (R)
    Parker, Rochow, Whitehead, Carter (R)
    Johnson, Norman, Hastings (R)
    Croker, Gutherson
    Mansour, Barba, Mitchell

Also yes, I realise how sideways those trades appear. I don't care, the rage is strong.

Hastings, DCE, J Nikorima, C Walker
    P Mata'utia, Croker, Green, Henry
    Barba, Ferguson, Wighton, Gutherson, Mitchell

    $135k in bank

Any thoughts on trades I should make?

I want to get rid of Green and thinking either Scott or Hymel Hunt and then not sure what else (if anything I should do...

Perhaps Cambell Gillard for either BLaw or Gavet? Then look to upgrade a couple players over the next few weeks with the cash I have?

    Any thoughts? Cheers.

HOK: A. McCullough is a concern, although he will hopefully improve as the year progresses so I wouldn't say he is an option to trade out yet. (Although bleeding the cash hurts.) M. Cherrington definitely needs upgrading as he could be dropped in the coming weeks however he isn't losing you cash so you don't have to force a trade there just yet.

FRF: J. Bromwich, A. Woods and J. Trbojevic are all holds at the moment. While J. Bromwich and A. Woods aren't posting up world beating scores they will still be decent each week and you have nothing to worry about from them. R. Campbell-Gillard is not going to make you any cash but he shouldn't be losing any cash either.

2RF: M. Taupau, P. Carter and S. Burgess should all be solid for now while P. Carter is still making you cash. Although it is a good sign that A. Paasi is starting again I am not entirely sold on him making too much cash or being that great. But he is definitely worth holding this week.

HLF: Nothing worth of note. D. Cherry-Evans bleeding cash but he is doing that for everyone.

CTR: Green and Henry are trades, I would lean towards Scott as he seems to have better security in the CTR position but after Hunt's performance last week it should hopefully keep Auva'a at bay. Sadly the Storm play before the Rabbitohs so you will have to go with your gut here. (It definitely is a good idea to make this trade if you have no faith in Green before either Hunt or Scott rise in price.)

WFB: If you find a good cheap option I would dump Wighton for sure. Ferguson also but I think you can hold him longer. Either way I guess you can wait a week for them.

Regarding your trades I would go with Lawrence in for RGC, it is a risk reward issue.
Then as I said and I agree with Green out for one of the CTR's you are looking at is a good idea to get them before price rises.

Other few people I would look at in future weeks depending on your cash. A. Paasi, J. Wighton, and M. Cherrington (May need to be traded in next couple weeks so try and save cash for that.)
