That might be my fault.... Radio Sport (in NZ) had a press release out earlier today saying he had gotten off. I posted relaying that news soon after. They have since taken that press release down. I thought I might have misheard, but upon checking I notice at least one other person on a forum who heard/posted the same thing.
Any chance they (radio Sport) got an inside word on the outcome?
Apologies for the confusion.

Any other suggestions in the centres? There's not really any certainty there and i rather take a low cost risk.
I don't mind having a 'handcuff'
Nah it's solid reasoning mate, was more curious than anything. Centre is a horrible position so it's not a bad tactic as you've got all bases covered anyway.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 13
So would it be sideways to trade Kane Evans out for James Gavet? I mean it'll free up a lot of cash and make it much easier for me to take my pick of the lot when Garvey's time in first grade is up but I wonder if it's worth the trade purely to make a couple of extra K's??? -3 BE for Gavet with similar scores to Evans is kind of tempting

So I've decided to sell Slater & DCE. Which pair do you like:
(a) Tedesco & Norman & 49kitb or
(b) Munster & Mbye & 120kitb
Thanks.

@WL
In all honesty, neither.
Mbye just because of his big score or you think he will be one of the top halves this year?
Cant say im sold on Norman personally, did most of the kicking like others have said, but that'll prob change when Foran gets better. If thats the Eels game plan, its going to get found out pretty fast. If all us Fanatics members can see Norman taking all the kicks, im sure the NRL coaches will start to put pressure on Norman...

Ok - so first time Fantasy player and poster. Figuring out that this can get you sucked in for the whole week
A little help with my remaining trade for the week? - please - backs are a mess. Team is
Granville, Parcell
Surges, Packer, Evans, Thaiday
Parker, Lowe, LBrown, L Fitzgibbon, Carter, V Leuluai
Bunt, CWalker, Taylor, JNik
Croker, DWalker, R Kennar, Cheekam
Coote, Ferguson, Mitchell, Copley, Eden.
only $34K in the bank.
Thinking:
Thaiday>Gavet, Jsafiti, KTurner, or BLaw. Just cautious of having too many from Manly, Souths or Rooters
OR
Kennar>Scott. So I can get a cow to produce (I got duped with Kennar's potential start in R1)
I appreciate your thoughts.

Hey buddy, welcome to the forums.
Well going through your team, it looks like you need to make trades everywhere, except the halves.
Parcell is ok, but not the greatest cash cow. Earning money, but very slowly. Can you upgrade Granville - Smith/Another hooker Gun?
You have three cash cows in your FRF. You should look to downgrade one to Mataora, or one of the Saifiti bros, then the following week upgrade another FRF to another gun. Failing that you could move Leuluai to FRF and get another gun 2RF.
Hows Dylan Walker going? You could move LeBrown to the Ctrs, and Trade Walker - Gun 2RF (Depending on your cash) or a cash cow or some sorts.
You have Crocker in your CTRS, so you have a upper hand there over most of us. Everyones backs are complete shit really, Maybe get rid of Coote - Scott? Im not sure what Coote is averaging though. I wouldnt worry about wasting too many trades in the backs though.

HOK: I don't think you should change anything here. Granville hasn't scored too great, but his scores should be increasing. While Garvey is a good option you could end up having him for only two weeks and Parcell still has money to make you considering his BE of 9.
FRF: Thaiday not making many points off the bench and looks to drop in price again isn't good. Evans for mine is a trade as well but should he isn't losing you any cash.
2RF: Fitzgibbon did alright last week, and should make some cash. But I doubt it will be enough to warrant his pick, unless he can hold his spot down long term. L. Brown is a great option when he is at CTR outside of that I think he is solid as a 2RF.
HLF: No Hastings, that is a big shock. Did you just happen to miss the boat there?
CTR: Croker is a long term season keeper, however I don't think D. Walker is a great option. He should score okay but for his price you could look at someone different. Although you have Kennar and Chee-Kam it does look like you missed the B. Henry and N. Green bullets.
WFB: Ferguson the only really pressing concern at the moment for you.
Overall: Your squad is okay, but it seems like you pressed up with too many of the Rookies/Cheapies that have flopped thus far, or lacked job security. However you should hopefully be able to come back from that. While you backs, particularly the reserves are a mess I would shift your focus elsewhere and strengthen your team in the FRF/2RF and HOK which are key positions.
Suggestions:
Thaiday is bleeding cash so he definitely needs to be shipped out. Gavet has a 36 point difference than his BE (Average minus BE). J. Saifiti 40 point difference, K. Turner 33 point difference, B. Lawrence 32 point difference. Now keep in mind that the sample size is small, just 2 games (Only 1 for Lawrence) So it shouldn't sway you too much. Also you definitely need to pay attention to job security as you already have 3 guys not playing this week and Eden potential out next week. I would personally lean towards J. Gavet if Matulino is out, or K. Turner if you are after a solid scorer who can make cash. Note Turner is an injury risk and J. Saifiti does look promising but with T. Sims returning soon I would aim for one of the other 2 guys.
Dylan Walker now this may seem strange because he does have potential to post up solid scores, but if you trade him out and shift L. Brown down to CTR it opens up the possibility to pick up someone like K. Turner as well. You could also move S. Burgess into the 2RF it opens up a lot more possibilities. Such as B. Lawrence, and if you did decide to bring Gavet in you could look at another gun such as J. Graham, J. Trbojevic and the likes, or as mentioned you can bring in someone making cash as well and bank more cash to help upgrade those dead positions or the HOK position in a few weeks when Parcell tops out and Peats returns.
Anyway tl;dr trade ideas..
S. Thaiday -> J. Gavet
D. Walker -> B. Lawrence (Via. L. Brown to CTR and S. Burgess to 2RF)
Leaves you with $315 000 and it drops two guys losing you cash and brings two guys making you cash in. Then you focus on HOK or reassess your dead cash cows.

Here are the trades I'm looking at making. Green to BLawerence via Aubbuson, and Ah Mau to Mataora, leaving $327,000 to do some upgrades next week(mainly Evans and possibly Cartwright or Rochow).

Random, Finch - thanks for the great feedback.
Thaiday is definitely going. That was a heart pick - not one with the head.
I think I'll go with Gavet to open up cash for the same points.
Lots of work to do:pale:

FWIW, I'd go with B Lawrence over Gavet. More expensive yes, but 40 points is better than 30 (Or whatever Gavet is getting)
