Also on a side note - I've been working on Wicky full-time for 3 years. Looking at ways to expand our work in NRL Fantasy. Obviously footystatistics.com + yafss are amazing.
We've got a model to project fantasy scores which I've never really looked at TBH. And data on fantasy scores by venues, teams, opposition, positions etc.

Feel free to PM me or reply here - what would you love to see with NRL Fantasy data that's not already covered?

Turpin and Liddle the early favourites for mine
Have too many dogs already to consider Oloapu

Anyone else I should be considering?
I guess Fainu from next week is also an option

The one with the good players at a recently successful club is doing good

Meanwhile Ciraldo has the best squad the Bulldogs have had in forever. 15th. AOB hasn’t been able to do anything at the Knights. And so it goes

Basically I wouldn’t be begging any of these assistants to come to the club. It’s ridiculous that Ryles had the power in the negotiations with his 0-0 career record. If he doesn’t want the challenge, wants to be safe and comfortable, let him.

Does it not show how much of a shambles the club are in?

To me, switching to the Storm under Bellamy and potentially taking over when he retires seems like a better move for his career.

    Saulo is a little interesting

If he starts as prop he scores pretty well. But rubbish from the bench.

If they stick with Tapine lock, Horse edge, Saulo/Papali'i props then he could be OK, but the fact they may change it up and he'll go back to 15 points from the bench is a bit of a risk

Look, I was tongue-in-cheek about the coward bit.

    My two points are:
    1. He's waiting for an opportunity that may never happen, and may not be as good as it seems if it does arrive. Storm post-Bellamy could be very different. Players may not take discounts to stay at a Ryles-led Storm. Young junior talent might choose the Dolphins or Titans over a Ryles-led Storm
    2. Dragons shouldn't be begging and offering the world to unproven coaches. If it was a Bennett or even a Hasler, sure. But I don't think Ryles is going to transform the club. I'm not even convinced he's a better coach than the current interim, or dozens of other guys around the traps. So he has to want it, not be sold on it.

The club isn't really a shambles off the pitch, only on it. Board is probably less dysfunctional than its ever been

    Cleary, Hynes
    Lemmy, BSmith
    Manu, Drinkwater, Bula

    Boyd, Tohu, SJ, Edwards

Eventual plan to upgrade Boyd, Drinkwater, Presto, Tapine?, Hopgood? to the likes of Fifita, Latrell, Teddy and Haas after origin. Cashing out to Turps lets me start building the bank for that

    Also let’s go maroons!
With Boyd and JMK I need a cheap HOK for 16 so like you that is my reasoning for bringing him in

True, but the expectations will be much higher. He would have a bit of time at the Dragons to try and get shit together. At the Storm, if they drop out of being a competition heavyweight then there might be more scrutiny.

Do people bringing in Turpin have the trades to piss him off again in a few weeks?

    This is a good point

If you can’t piss him off at R19 and need the extra trades in R20, maybe it’s better just getting Jake Simpkin for R16/19?

That assumes Koro is NSW hooker for all 3 games

Now that I think about it, I've actually never traded in a shit tier hooker since Starling. Maybe Subconscious?

But I am looking at Turpin this week, now you got me second guessing.

He's just Starling with mousy brown hair (and less pub brawls)

Debating doing Knik to Metcalf as my version of this trade.

I like it man. Metcalf has got real potential as a fantasy asset, spot should be his, as long as he stays fit he stays in the team. Byes really good and it makes money. Yes from me
