He was pretty poor last game, wouldn’t surprise me if TMM slots straight back in

A couple of weeks ago, was looking to bring in Hopgood and Ponga, but then realised that I had way too many players for this round 14 bye with Eels, Knights and Sea Eagle players. Now was bringing in Okunbor, but yet again, I'll have too many players in round 17 bye with Sharks, Tigers and Bulldog players.
Everyone be careful of this as it can sneak up you.

    Fuck off then.

I’d definitely wreck my team for a shot at the $1000 just for a chance of winning something. No way I’d delete it though

Meanwhile Ciraldo has the best squad the Bulldogs have had in forever. 15th. AOB hasn’t been able to do anything at the Knights. And so it goes

Basically I wouldn’t be begging any of these assistants to come to the club. It’s ridiculous that Ryles had the power in the negotiations with his 0-0 career record. If he doesn’t want the challenge, wants to be safe and comfortable, let him.

The whole Bulldogs 2023 squad was way overblown. It was never that good.

They probably should be doing better than 15th or whatever thet are, but any team in the bottom 4 'should be doing better'

I have 15 before doing anything this week so yeah it gives me the option to. If your single digits then it’s obviously a bit of a worry

Holding on to Leilua is a terrible idea, right? I really don’t want to trade someone I had in my R16 plans, but 45 minutes last week plus Nanai is back now, seems I should just admit defeat on a bad call and cut Bate

A lot of good options in Tigers, Dogs this week. Make sure to keep an eye on round 17, if I go with planned trades I have 5 on the bye then so I will have to adjust at the time.

Any love for Starlord? Nice dual to get through the byes, base seems to have jumped up, and obviously massive attack of late. Bit expensive mind you.

He's a risk but staying in the halves ahead of Walker is a good sign and definitely above Volkman in the pecking order.
TMM could displace him on return but Metcalf is the future. Depends how much game time they want to give him now.

Did everything he needed to in the first half last week but faded and made a few errors in the second forty.
TMM doesn't have the speed and "x-factor" Metcalf does. Really depends how he goes in the next couple of weeks and how much faith they have in him.

Holbrook is another one, except he also coached successfully in the UK along with being a Robinson assistant and still hasn't made a dent in the NRL.

I don't even think any of them are necessarily bad coaches. Maybe you swap Fitzy and AOB and the respective clubs get the same outcomes? Who knows.

Just think the main factor for a successful coaching career for the most part is the team and setup inherited. Then you get lucky with early runs on the board, and you get a much longer leash where players will buy into your coaching through leaner patches. Eventually a few become Godlike like Bennett and Bellamy where player power can never usurp you.

So while I get Ryles waiting for the possibility of the right spot, I don't get the Dragons apparently bending over backwards to lure him (or other clubs doing it with Ciraldo before him). Ryles wasn't going to turn it around overnight. He got offered 4 years. If he's not jumping at the challenge, especially as an ex-club legend and local junior, move on. Plenty more fish in the sea. Don't be desperate. His coaching record is 0-0.

I actually hope there's a path where Ryan Carr does a good job and gets 1-2 years.

Probs would've been Dragons coach years ago if it wasn;t for the whole ignoring sanctions from the ASADA investigation

Would be on brand for the Dragons though.

I might prefer the man who coached the Sharks after him tbh

Yeah this. When Tohu and Barnett were both in the team in R1-3, Tohu played 80 every time. Don't see it having an impact.

Flanagan strikes me as a better credentialed Griffin but I don't know shit.

I wouldn't mind a guy like John Morris so I can start liking the Dragons again Very Happy
