Honestly I reckon a lot of coaching is just end result rather than full body of work. If Sharks lose that grand final, but otherwise has an identical record, is Flanagan still a thing nearly 10 years later? Is Ricky Stuart not on the scrapheap 10 years ago if he didn't get a GF win first up with the Roosters? Players will buy into the exact same bullshit more from a different guy if once won a title instead of coming 3rd.

    Looking ahead to round 16

In my expert bye planning I've managed to end up with 4 edges for 2 spots. 13 players but the wrong positions* pending trade ins

    HOK Turpin
    MID Edwards
    EDGE Ipap, Tupouinua, Preston, Loiero
    HLF Brown, Oloapu
    CTR Alamoti, Suaali’i
    WFB Bula, Ponga, Gutho

Will be almost certainly moving Edwards on before then if he stalls cash gen coming off the bench

Loosely planning Preston and Loiero to JFH and Elliott. Both have chances to be keepers and both are under priced atm.

Hesitant to grab another keeper MID outside of that because that will take me to 5 of them with no DPP

Flannagan would be a classic Dragons move. If they hire him then nothing changes.

If your major sponsors are walking away, the answer at coach is not the guy who has Flannagan's history.

We're off to Origin in an hour. It's a 3 hour drive so be back around 1-2am and will post up impressions of the evening, Let's Go Blues!

I saved a few on mid rangers last week that let me chase a bit more cash and round 16 numbers

The logic was rather than going with someone like Drinkwater, Fitzgibbon or CNK that I thought was appropriately priced I would target Turpin who should make some cash and put up similar score in a different bye round. Will have to wait and see how it pans out but Drinkwater has landed the first blow

Best coach on the market IMO is Toovey. No idea why clubs won't give him a go

Tarcowie, it's around 3 hours north of Adelaide. Look close on the map, we have a population of 12 lol.

You'll love it mate it's a great experience. I've nearly got as many origin appearances as Mitchell Pearce and it's by far one of my favourite events on the calendar

Anyone think Klemmer returns to a 55-60 minute role now that Joe O is with the Eels?

Everyone talking Bateman and IPap but he's equally good value at $648k (if he returns to his historical workload).

This is I think my 5th Origin, we only moved here from Sydney 18 months ago so they were all in N.S.W. I was 5 metres from the bullshit Mark Coyne try back in the day. I'm sure this one will be great too

Nice, if you go through Orroroo stop in at the pie shop it's bloody brilliant. We love it here, beats the overcrowding in Sydney
